Hi, my name is Teri Lynne. I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. I am a professional mime,
I've been doing mime for over a little of ten years now and in this first segment I'm
going to show you how to do the box or the wall. This is probably the most common or
typical thing of when you think of mime is you think of them doing the box or the wall.
It's really important to be very clear and specific is called the click. When you click
down on what you have appeared to be your imaginary wall. So you just want to imagine
a plate of glass in front of you and just start (or a wall) you can actually go to a
wall when you're first starting and actually just place your hands on it and see what it
feels like when you hit that. It's a nice sharp click so that's the wall and you can
go down the wall use your whole body. When you want to create a box all you're doing
is creating a wall but all around you so you have your sides and you want to make sure
that your wall doesn't start changing levels. So if it's this short all the time, every
hand movement you make has to be on that same level to create really that illusion of the
wall or that box. If you want to see more of mime segments check them out here with
me on Expert Village.
