Hey! How you doin'?
This guy right here is Luke.
*Thud*
You okay?
Luke: No, that hurt a lot. Cody: Ah, yes. Well, uh...
He made the intro song to the BrĂ¼tal Legend video. Yeah...
We are here to talk about
Metal Gear Solid 4. But you already knew that because you read the title.
Cody: Let's see how this works out. Luke: I think it's a good game. The cutscenes are worth it just for however
Luke: much it costs now. Cody: It's thirty dollars 'cause it's a Greatest Hits game, but it doesn't come
with that stupid red case.
It says...just Greatest Hits sticker. So...
Cody: I like that. Luke: Look out for it. Cody: Look out for it.
What? Look out for what?
Luke: The game case. Cody: Oh yeah, the game case. What?
Cody: Oh, the red game case. It looks like crap. Luke: Yeah.
Cody: Don't touch it...ever. Luke: Don't.
Cody: Your fingers will bleed. Luke: And have blisters.
They wont bleed.
They wont have blisters.
So yes, Metal Gear Solid 4.
Gameplay. Luke, gameplay.
Gameplay...if you like sneaking around and shooting stuff and from time to time blowing stuff up
Luke: it's a great game. Cody: I'm a shooter fan. But, uh...
this is all stealth. If you're not stealth a lot of times it gets you in trouble and
Cody: it's frankly, really annoying. Luke: Quite challenging if you're not stealthy. Cody: Yes, definitely.
Being stealthy is really difficult so not my favorite game. It's really slow
if you want to play it the way it's supposed to be played and then it's really annoying if you don't
play it the way it's supposed to be played. So gameplay...a couple of points down. But the cutscenes
Luke: As I said before, totally worth it. Cody: Oh, they're great. There's this one
out in the middle of this canal or something. It's a great scene, I must say.
Probably the best scene in the game.
Oh, he fell.
Luke: Replayability is not that high. Cody: No, it's not. Luke: Not at all. Cody: But there is this new game+ kinda feature
where you can keep your stuff from the past game so that's cool.
It does sort of increase whatever little replayability there is.
Luke: Although it is possible to replay it. Maybe one time, but that's about it. Cody: It's possible to replay it.
Luke: It's possible. Cody: It's possible. Luke: It's possible.
I'm pretty sure it's possible to replay any game, ever.
Luke: But, replay it any enjoy it. Cody: You're a good pet. Luke: Replayability and enjoy it
one time.
Luke: That's all I can say. Cody: Yeah. But it's a good movie. Luke: It is a good movie
There's a weapon customization system, but there's not really a lot to say about it. You just
throw a couple of attachments on your gun, nothing special. I didn't use it, he did. Luke: I did.
If you're gonna use silencers, buy about a thousand of them 'cause they break constantly. If you're a
person that really likes extra content, this is
Cody: full of extra content. I mean there's so many Luke: Jam packed Cody: side things you can do. Just Luke: Ridiculous.
Ridiculous. So many suits you can get.
So many different achievements.
Luke: There's a mobile purchasing system Cody: Ah yes. Luke: that is pretty interesting.
Luke: I believe. Cody: It's great. Normally in games you run around for hours on end and then every
so often you run into a store.
This game...
the store is always with you and every time you run into a gun...
You either pick it up and
have it as your own or you sell it to the store automatically and get cash.
So you can buy...
silencers.
Both a Playstation 3 and a PSP can be seen within this game, but that's
Cody: totally irrelevant. Luke: It's just fun extra content. Cody: It is just fun extra content.
The PS3's not plugged into anything. I don't really get it. It's just
kinda sitting there on the table
*Some ramble about not knowing anything else about MGS4*
Luke: Story is great. Cody: Story's great, ending's terrible.
Luke: Yup. Horrible. Awful. Cody: It's a terrible ending.
Luke: Almost not worth buying, but it's totally worth buying. Buy it, but don't buy it. Cody: Don't play the ending. Just stop
Cody: when you get to the end. Luke: Just stop, it doesn't matter. Cody: Maybe when you think the game is over
you should stop playing because that's probably when it gets bad.
Yeah. When it gets really hard...stop.
Well no, you want to see how it ends.
Cody: You just don't want to see how it really ends. Luke: Ok, well get
Luke: to the end, but don't play the end. Look it up on Youtube Cody: Honestly, whatever we're saying right now is not going to
have any effect. You're going to play the end if you get this game so I don't even know why we're bothering.
Luke: Because we're bored. Cody: We're bored. Luke: And we're just telling the camera instead of each other.
Cody: You shut up. Luke: Fu-
Yeah, so that's Metal Gear Solid 4.
Check it out if you want to. We give it an 8/10.
Well I do anyways.
Luke: 8.5! Cody: Oh, nevermind he's back.
