Since childhood I have been influenced
by the music of the 80's with names like
Kraftwerk, Afrika Bambaataa
and other great names in Electronic Music.
It made a great impression and became a big part of my life.
Other musical influences also comes from the 90's.
To me, the 90's have been a major milestone in electronic music
and continues to intrigue me now.
After House Music producers became stronger...
90's took time, House Music started to evolve as all musical genre.
So I started to hear music from Junior Vasquez, Peter Rauhofer,
Barry Harris, Chris *** and others.
After the great success of "Sexercise" we needed to change our strategy.
We had to work on something more professional,
more challenging
and in this regard we started to search a singer
that could give a greater quality to our music.
When you work with an artist that has all the qualities
and experience that Jeanie Tracy has,
things become easier, because she always understands in a word
what we want and vice versa without speaking
And she comes from another generation we exchange all the time...
we learn a lot from one another.
Jeanie is a great singer!
She had worked as backing vocalist of many wonderful singers like
Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey...
They became a great union since "Party People"
They were great references!
There is a landmark in the Brazilian House Music with Altar and Jeanie Tracy.
Talking about our fans is a very cool feeling.
We have no doubt this vibration is like a gift to us.
Knowing that our music is playing in several countries,
it's like being closer to that vibe.
It's like a dream to us, is a great achievement and a great reward.
As a DJ, I feel so proud to talk about the duo ALTAR.
Because in some international gigs I did, people outside Brazil knew them,
everyone knew their music.
I was so happy because they are from my country,
they are genuine Brazilians.
We are in this market a long time...
and thank God our name and brand is well known and consolidated and not only in Brazil
but outside too.
Who would say ALTAR is in an American movie soundtrack?
Because their style is different!
When you hear them on the dancefloor you know it is ALTAR!
Almost 3 or 4 years working together.
We released various singles like: "Can U Hear Me"
also "Hold Me Now"
And I'm happy because you are part of my story as I am part of yours...
you helped me a lot to grow up and become who I am today
You put my name on Billboard Charts.
So I am very thankful for all love and opportunity that you both gave me.
As I said a while ago we were not just a meeting of artists, but a meeting of souls on stage.
My heart goes to you! Thank you so very much from the deep of my heart
for all you did.
I love to see ALTAR best ever, and now working with wonderful artists...
and releasing this new single with Jeanie Tracy who is the greater Diva Queen.
When they said that I would feat. "It's Over" with them I went crazy! I was very very happy!
I am very thankful to them, truly.
Then they remixed "Can't Be Without You" and "Pisces".
It all started with a revolution of the digital age.
This season was a time for the MP3, so many artists and producers
choose to distribute music by themselves
then we started following the same strategy.
So we decided to create a label and it was important to our career
launch our music on "Mamahouse Records".
"Party People" is like a reference of HIT to us. It reached #1 on Billboard...
it was the song that launched our name outside Brazil.
so when we are producing a new song "Party People" is our first reference.
What did "Party People" have...
that conquer so many people?
ALTAR was the first Brazilian project to be launched on Billboard
and I am so proud of the boys long ago since when I lived in Recife.
They are reference to me and will always be. They are close friends and they are a great example
that Brazilian music can be a success out there.
They were an inspiration to me and still are.
They know how they were important in the beginning of my career.
We have a good partnership until today and I congratulate for all this success.
We got to do something special to celebrate this new moment of our career and this new song
so we brought Jeanie Tracy to São Luís - Brazil.
Jeanie Tracy came to Rio to perform in a big party here
and it was very cool. Oh my! When I saw her performance
I spoke to myself: My goodness! What voice is that?
A huge and powerful voice! And she is very sweet!
She won my heart!
Jeanie for us is like family as we were a real family,
a person who is definitely on much more than the professional side.
I'm used to call her constantly, she calls me too, we do Skype sometimes...
we exchange ideas about lyrics and upcoming music,
we usually decide what fit or not on the record and sometimes we re-build everything together.
Actually she is a person that is part of a group that extends not only the professional issue
but there is a huge care in our partnership.
and I think that is why it works so well.
Talk about the duo ALTAR is saying that they were and are reference,
VMC and Macau are the precursors of many producers in Brazil.
They also were the first to put a record on the top of Billboard Charts.
They brought Jeanie Tracy to us and to the world with hot music.
As a DJ, I'm so thankful for the hits they produced like "Everybody Up".
For every new record we have different expectations.
We get nervous, we get worried... Will people like it?
Actually when you start releasing records and the records are becoming hits,
your responsibility just increases.
Many producers often ask me: what is the formula of success?
What do I have to do?
I think that it has no prescription or formula
and my answer to that is always like that: people have to focus on their own music,
always trying to improve their own music and do not attempt to have a better result than others
or try to compare your music.
"We Will Be Free Tonight" has much more melody than our last songs with Jeanie.
Actually this feature means that we want to say a different message...
something that has a light that shines bringing good times,
a positive message for people.
This is the real feeling of "We Will Be Free Tonight"
"We Will Be Free Tonight" é uma música maravilhosa,
It has a different concept, an unusual style between ALTAR and Jeanie Tracy partnership.
They have a very interesting ability to renew their tracks and it contributes to the music scene.
On this first remixes pack for "We Will be Free Tonight",
we regard to the participation of close friends DJs
of our electronic scene.
Actually I call it as the Brazilian Remixes Pack.
It sounds cliché, but in fact, the fans are the main reason...
we are for more than 10 years producing, traveling with the same energy,
Keeping the same enthusiasm, we always want to bring new trends...
we are always with opened eyes on the market. We like listening other producers and other genres.
We are always concerned to be updated.
So ,it is all about our fans.
I see ALTAR like big idols.
They are synonym of good music.
Well-produced music.
Remixes that will make people dance, and make people have a good night.
In my opinion, they are two great representatives of our music...
out of Brazil.
Since their work on Billboard!
Wow! Number One! We do not see much of that here.
So, It's a hope... and this is a pride having contact with them.
Kisses! You guys are awesome! Congratulations for your success!
Here's an interesting fact.
When we travel we get updated on songs that are playing at the moment
but in the end what people want is listening to ALTAR playing ALTAR.
And that's why "Everybody Up" is one of the songs most awaited in our shows.
My name is Wanessa and I'm here to thank greatly
the love and talent of a partnership that I could share
with a very talented duo I admire, ALTAR.
Thank you much VMC and Macau for the love with my music.
I loved the result! if God wills I hope to work with you again.
Thank you, and congratulations for the success
I already know that you are smashing around
including the Billboard!
Kisses and congratulations!
We have to thank everyone,
our fans, the people who really always believed in our work...
the supporters of our ideas and music.
Indeed is a great achievement for us and all merits are reflected in our music
and this is our love for you all.
We have no doubt that our families and friends have a super important role in our career.
After all, they are there on good moments or bad moments
always giving the strength we need and here is my eternal love to you
