Hey, this is Gilbert and I'm doing my weekly book review. This book review is gonna come
out of the New Testament. And I believe the words of the New Testament to be the Word
of God. And as such, I believe that every word in here is divinely inspired by God Himself.
Though man did write it, I believe that men were moved by the Holy Ghost as the Scriptures
say. And so, thus, this is a divinely-inspired book. It's full of prophecies. It's full of
prophesies that were fulfilled and are yet to be fulfilled. That's one of the earmarks of
knowing that this is a genuine book and not somebody's concoction in a basement somewhere.
The Book of Matthew, the first book of the Bi--of the New Testament, has to do with the
good news of Jesus Christ coming to earth. It's starts with the genealogy, Talking about
how he's started in the generation of David and as such, he is in the line of the kingship.
That he becomes the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. What we also have in this book
are the times when Jesus is speaking to the multitudes. He's breaking the bread to 5,000
people when all he had was five loaves and two fishes. And yet, by God's grace and mercy,
he's able to feed 5,000 men, not including the women and children, which could easily
have been two or three times that number. And again another time with just seven loaves
of fish and uh, bread and fish, he's able to feed four thousand people, not including
women and children. Miracles of all kinds: Children being raised from the dead; uh servants
being raised up that were sick. Even, one of the apostles, Simon Peter, his mother-in-law
was sick with a fever. She gets healed because Jesus intervened. This is the good news that
Jesus Christ is the Lord and he is the Lord and Christ. The one, he came to his "own but
his own received him not," as the Apostle John said. But in the Book of Matthew, we
see the King coming in his kingdom. And in this book of 28 chapters, we hear, we read
all the way to the point where Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He rose again the
third day and he then sent out his disciples and said, "Go into all the world and preach
the gospel to every creature, discipling them, teaching them all the things; and know that
I am with you until the end of the age." And that's the promises we have in this word.
This is a great book. I highly recommend it! If you don't have a Gideon's New Testament,
find out where there's a fair or find out where there's a Gideon and get one! It's free!
And this will change your life and make you a better person! I enjoy it! I enjoy it every
day! And I highly recommend it. Have a great day!
