Hi I'm Kelli, I'm an aesthetician and a makeup artist at Ulta Salon and Cosmetics and I'm
going to give you some tips on how you can choose a sunscreen. First thing you want to
determine is what type of skin you have, whether you have drier skin or you have oilier skin
and that's going to determine what type of texture that you're looking for. Typically
people with drier skin don't mind a richer texture, people with oilier skin like a really,
really light texture. Another thing you want to determine is whether you want a physical
or a chemical sunblock. A physical sunblock typically has titanium or zinc oxide in it
and those are, physical sunblocks basically they reflect sun rays of off the face. Chemical
sunblocks are your ababenzo and your parasol 1789 and those basically absorb the rays and
neutralize them. So those are two factors that you want to determine. You also want
to determine whether or not you want a sunscreen within itself or you want to use a sunscreen
within a moisturizer or a foundation. So those three things can help you determine what type
of sunscreen that you're looking for and hopefully lead you in the right direction.
