Good morning everybody!
I'm so excited for today's video because today I am showing you what is in Alithea's Easter
Basket!
Before I get started I just wanted to say that this video is a collaboration with Haylee
from HayleeAndFamily.
And I'm really excited about this.
We did a box swap last fall which was super fun.
And I would love to do another box swap with Haylee and Hazzel sometime, but we decided
to do an awesome Easter basket collab this time.
And I was actually really excited about this because I wanted to film Alithea's Easter
Basket stuff anyways, because I don't think that I did that last year.
The link to Haylee's video for this collab will be in the description box down below.
So please don't forget to go check out her video too you guys!
So why don't we just jump right into the Easter gear?
So here's the basket that I'm going to be using for Alithea's second ever Easter basket.
I am so excited this year because we're going to try to put some eggs out in this little
park area out around our house.
I mean they're going to be super obvious just sitting on the ground.
But we're going to have her run around and go find them, and I put tiny little prizes
in each of them.
Because, you know, Alithea is only a little over a year and a half old now.
So she's a bit young for candy still.
So, no candy for her this year.
But here is the basket I got her.
I got this at Walmart and it was only $7, which I think is actually a pretty good deal,
because I think it looks nice and this is something that I could obviously use for,
like, storage things or something after Easter.
Which is great because I don't want to buy Alithea Easter baskets every year that I can't
do something with.
So, this basket is great.
I like the blue color.
This is one of my favorite colors for Alithea to wear too, so I thought it was just really
perfect.
And then the gold paint on the bottom half makes a really nice accent.
I got this grass to go inside of the basket.
It's just going to go in the bottom a little bit, kind of pad things, help lift them up
a little bit in that basket so that they look better.
But I'm also using some of this to do a future video, which is a DIY on how to make an Easter
Egg Hunt Sensory Bottle.
Which I think is going to turn out really good.
By the way the basket and the Easter grass, I got both of those from Walmart, I can't
remember if I said that yet.
I got this cute little book of stickers for Alithea too.
She's really gotten into stickers lately, and she can't really do much with them but
she'll stick them to her face and then peel them off, and then stick them to her shirt
and then peel them off, and then just...
You know, fun little toddler stuff.
So, I got her this Easter themed sticker book and I actually got her a couple more than
just this one.
But I'm only going to give her this one this year, and I'm going to save the other ones
for next year, because I feel like next year she'll kind of understand stickers a little
better.
But they were all on sale at JoAnn Fabric's becase they do sales all the time on all of
their stuff.
And they do sales on, like, their holiday stuff before the holiday happens too.
Like when the stuff first comes out they do a sale on it, and then just before the holiday
happens all of the stuff goes on, like, really big sale.
That is why I got a few sticker books for her from JoAnn Fabric's.
I think that she's really going to like this!
The last thing I got for her Easter basket from Walmart was this little bracelet and
ring set.
I don't know if she'll want to wear the rings yet.
She just tried to put on my wedding ring actually for the first time the other day, and it was
really cute.
So she might wear them, but she's gotten into bracelets recently, so I got her these to
go in her basket as well.
I feel like a lot of Alithea's Easter basket stuff came from Target.
So, I'm just going to move on to everything from Target real quick.
First we have these cute little bunny ears for her, these are from Target and they were
only $1.
That's not bad.
Target Dollar Spot is where I got all of the Target stuff for her Easter basket.
It's like really good prices for filling an Easter basket and there's so much stuff there.
If Alithea were older I could have gotten even more stuff for her from there, but some
of that stuff she can't use yet.
I'm so sorry if you can hear my cats running around in the background, they are being noisy.
These are just some cute pink bunny ears, and the inside of the ear has just these little
colorful polka dots.
And she really, really likes her bunny ears from last year and the giraffe ears that she
got from last year.
And if you want to see her opening her Easter basket from last year I'll leave a link to
that vlog in the description box down below.
I also got this $1 light up wand.
See?
Isn't it cute?
Um, it's got a little bunny head and it's like these swirly stripes on the wand handle
and what not.
But Alithea loves these, she thinks that they're just so entertaining.
I've gotten her one for pretty much every holiday for like, I don't know, the past year
or so.
So, I think she's really going to like this.
And I also got her bubbles!
I'm really happy about this because I actually gave her a very similar bubble wand to this
last Easter, but it broke very recently.
Like three weeks ago it cracked when we dropped it while we we're outside, and it won't close
anymore.
Then at some point it got tipped over, and so all the bubble stuff fell out.
And, anyways...
It was a big mess, so I got her a new one.
I also got her this necklace and this matching bracelet.
I think they're really cute and like I said, she got into bracelets recently and she also
has liked necklaces for a little while now.
So I'm trying to get her more accessories because she's kind of enjoying them.
She likes hair bows, and necklaces, and bracelets and stuff.
So I definitely got her a few of those things for Easter.
And the last item I got from Target was this adorable little ball.
I got this one because it has this green glitter inside of it and this cute little Easter egg.
I'll try to get you guys a close up real quick.
Wasn't that cute?
I think it's adorable, she's really going to like it!
I also got Alithea this egg chalk from the dollar store.
She really likes chalk right now and so I think that this will be another good reason
for us to keep getting outside and hanging out in the sun, and trying to not be indoors
all the time.
Because that's always been my problem.
So Clair's was running a buy 3 get 3 free for the entire store.
So if you bought 3 items you got 3 items for free.
Which is really great actually because Alithea, like I said, has been needing accessories.
So I got her a ton of hair accessories.
I got her a necklace and bracelet set that I already gave her, but I saved these bracelets
for Easter.
There's three here, just these blue beads, these yellow beads, and then these blue, yellow,
and pink flower beads on this one.
And I think she's really going to like these.
So, she's definitely got plenty of bracelets now.
I'm really excited about these last items because this is something I've wanted to get
Alithea for a couple of months now.
But I wanted to wait for some time when I could give her, like, a gift of it instead
of just buying it and bringing it home and playing with it.
So, I've been saving these for her Easter basket for a couple of month's now, and I'm
so excited about it.
It's Play-Doh tools!
Isn't that cute?
So Alithea has just this one little pot of Play-Doh, um, and we've kind of just being
playing around with that.
And she's finally in that stage now where she's not trying to eat the Play-Doh, she
actually wants to play with it.
And what she really likes to do, is she likes to take things and smoosh it into the Play-Doh.
So I give her, like, these little ring set thingys with these different waves and textures
on them and I let her push them into the Play-Doh.
And she really likes that.
But I feel like that's just not enough for her, she needs more, she needs to be able
to do more with it, because she's been losing more and more interest more quickly recently.
So, I got her this set of Play-Doh tools that I'm super excited about because I think she's
going to love them!
And I think that playing with Play-Doh is just such a really great activity.
It's a good sensory activity, it's great for her learning how to kind of shape things and,
you know, mold things, and just doing all kinds of stuff.
So, I'm really excited about that.
And to go along with it, I got her more Play-Doh!
This is the color we already have, this blue one.
I wanted to get more of it so whenever we use the blue color we can get both of these
out at the same time, she has a little more to play with.
And then I got her this pink color, and I actually got her two of these but they won't
fit in her Easter basket.
So, I'm just going to give her one later and not worry about putting in the basket.
But, I'm so excited about this.
I think she's going to love it so much!
So that is everything in Alithea's Easter basket!
I really hope you guys enjoyed this video, I had a lot of fun making it.
I had a lot of fun picking out all of her Easter basket stuff, and I think that she's
really going to like it.
I think that she's going to be more interested this year, and actually digging in there and
figuring out what's in her basket.
She's still not really going to understand the concept, but I think that she's still
going to have fun because she kind of, she understands, like, if I'm giving her somthing,
she's like, "Oh, this is mine."
So I think that she's really going to enjoy Easter more this year than she did last year
because we couldn't really do anything with her.
We didn't do eggs, she did have a basket but she was, like, really confused, like, what
am I supposed to do with this?
So I just feel that this year is going to be so much more fun, and I am so excited,
and I can't wait to vlog Easter for you guys, because we don't do a lot on Easter, but we
are doing a little egg hunt like I said earlier.
And I think she's actually going to really enjoy that.
I think she's really going to like the little Easter egg, like, goodies inside there.
And if you guys are interested in seeing what I did to fill Alithea's Easter eggs with non-candy
items go ahead and let me know in the comments down below, and I will film a video of that
for you guys.
So you guys can kind of see what I did to make it more toddler friendly, and you know,
not candy!
So please don't forget to go check out Haylee's video too on what she put in Hazzel's Easter
basket this year, because I bet it's going to be amazing!
Haylee's channel is just absolutely great, it's the first mom channel that I ever started
watching and I still watch it regularly to this day.
I think that she's a really great mom, I think that Hazzel's an amazing kid, and I think
that Randy is a really good dad to Hazzel too, and they're just, like, my favorite YouTube
familiy!
So if you guys haven't checked out their channel yet, though you probably have because I've
talked about her like a bajillion times, then make sure that you go check out her channel.
And don't forget to watch her Easter basket video too!
But once again, thank you so much for watching you guys, this was so fun to make!
