Miki Bhalla, ODA External Relations: Hi! my name is Miki and I work for the ODAs External
Relations Team, and I'm here today for the launch of the London 2012 exhibition at City
Hall. This exhibition is a chance for people to
come and see what London 2012 is all about. So we have models of the venues, videos and
an interactive fly-through of the Park.
Today we've had the Mayor of London coming down to visit the exhibition and to meet members
of the ODA Construction Crew.
Mayor of London Boris Johnson: You are involved in the most exciting thing that has happened
in London for 50 years in my view. It's going to be the most amazing project.
We've got to get the message across to everybody in London that the Olympics are a great thing
aren't they! Do you think they're a great thing or not?
Students: Yes!
Mayor of London Boris Johnson: Yes, that's the spirit. It is a massive investment that
will help to give jobs and growth in areas of London that need it.
Student: What is your favourite venue and why?
Mayor of London Boris Johnson: My favourite venue? That's a very good question. I think
I like the Velodrome. I think it looks fantastic, but they are all going to be great.
What's your favourite venue?
Student: The Aquatics Centre.
Mayor of London Boris Johnson
That's going to be good, isn't it. What do you think the roof looks like?
Student: A wave.
Mayor of London Boris Johnson: There's only two things I'm worried about. Do you know
what they are? They are very very big objects. France and Australia. They are good in sports,
and we beat them last time so we have got to make sure that we beat them this time.
Miki Bhalla, ODA External Relations: The exhibition will be at City Hall for the next three weeks,
so come down and see it.
