We are kicking off the New Year at BART with a new video feature called "Ask BART." We'll
be out in stations periodically to hear your questions, and track down answers.
Here's the first in our series:
Jessica Berg/BART Rider:
"So I have a monthly parking pass at the Rockridge BART Station, but when I show up here even
shortly after 9 am, there's often no spaces left in the permitted section of the parking
lot and there's supposed to be spaces saved until 10 o'clock."
Lauren LaPlante/BART Police Department:
"First of all Ms. Berg, thank you for bringing your concern to the BART Police Department
and we are sorry this happened. We do rely on the public to be our eyes and ears because, unfortunatly,we
cannot be at every station at one time - although we would like to be.We do ,however, encourage
you to inform a BART Station Agent or call BART Police at (510) 464-7000. If you do experience
repeat problems at any one station around our system, we will respond by stepping up
enforcement. And, always remember if you see something say something."
BART offers parking options at many stations, including monthly reserved permits and daily
fee parking. To learn more about parking options, go to
www.bart.gov/parking.
Do you have a question about something you've seen, experienced or wondered about on BART?
Ask BART and we'll try to track down the answer.
