I call my exhibition "it Sparkles Summer '12" at the gallery cafe called Chorak this year.
Just as well, because in June, East Finchley needs a bit of sparkle due to the unseasonal
ambience outside. That's what creativity is supposed to do though. And I think my pink
dog art is looking as scrumptious as the cakes, adding color to the blusteriest of British
summer days. Seriously though, I'm putting a lot of effort into making it look just right,
you know choosing which set of images to go where... And friends, of all sizes, c0me along
to take a look.
And it just makes me imagine how fun it would be to have my own gallery one day, which could
have a cafe in it too. Then the owner offers me an extension for a whole extra month, a
waiter told me that I was their most successful artist. Well the sun does start shining, come
July and I replenish and change with nearly 50 percent different prints, because I think
"no, I'm not going to take this opportunity for an extra month for granted, I want to
put my all into it." And I do put my all into my creative work, because I still recognize
what a privilege it is, to get to share my gift with East Finchley, London and beyond.
