Have you ever aspired to be a male model? Hi my name is Jena Hartman, owner of Promozone
Live here in Florida. Today we are going to be covering how to become a male model. I'm
going to give you some ins and outs and tips on where to go when you are first looking
to get into the industry. First and foremost when you want to locate a local town or agency
in your city, you want to go to the yellow pages, in your phone book or on line and you
want to go to the search engine and you will put in key words like male modeling in xyz,
wherever you are from as well as any other key words that you feel would be beneficial
to find a local agency. So when you are going to a local agency you want to call ahead to
make sure you can find an appointment with a talent scout or with a casting director,
that is what we do at our office. You want to call ahead and make an appointment and
when you are heading on in there you can take a head shot and body shot. Now typically they
like to see professional head shots and body shots but if you have a general one that your,
a family member took for you that is fine as well. When you are going on in there they
are going to ask you to fill out an application and that is pretty general, just general information
of how to get hold of you, an experience that you might have had in the past and your availability.
Now you can decide to work as a freelance model or exclusively as your own agency. You
want to decide if you want to find your own work or if you actually are charged a 20%
amount that the agency makes after you complete a job or a gig. Now you can go into commercial
modeling, fashion modeling, magazine modeling, the list goes on so you can do some research
on that and figure out what it is that you enjoy best or that you might be best at. So
go on and get out there and research and you'll find that you can be making money in no time.

out there.
