The Galaxy Nexus comes loaded with the new Ice Cream Sandwich platform.
Watch this video to learn how to navigate the Ice Cream Sandwich interface.
From the lock screen, you will already be able to see some of the new features Ice Cream sandwich has to offer.
You now have the ability to view notifications and access your camera application from this screen.
To do so, touch and hold the lock icon.
Then, drag your finger to the camera icon and let go.
This new feature is great for snapping a quick pic on the go.
Below, you will notice that the navigation keys are now located within the user interface.
Touch the home key to return to your most recently used home screen.
Touch the recent apps key.
This feature allows you to scroll through and access recently used applications for quick multitasking.
Simply touch an application to start it.
Touch the back key to return to the screen you were previously viewing.
Swipe your finger from left to right or right to left to access your five different home screens.
The blue bar at the bottom will indicate which of the 5 home screens you are currently viewing.
The favorites tray below the bar allows you to access top apps, short cuts, or folders from any home screen.
Touch the top of the screen and drag your finger down to access the notifications panel.
This panel provides notifications from applications, missed calls or message information, and more.
To clear your notifications touch the X at the top of the panel.
You also have the ability to quickly access the settings menu.
Touch the settings icon at the top of the page.
Here you can access network, device, personal and system settings.
To quickly return to the third home screen from any screen touch the home key twice.
Touch the all applications icon.
To scroll through your applications and widgets simply swipe your finger from right to left.
Once you have reached the widgets section you will notice that the blue bar below apps has moved to widgets.
From this screen, you also have quick access to the Android Market.
Touch the market icon at the top of the page to browse over more than 250,000 applications.
