The music reflects my experience of life,
which is Brazilian roots, but with different accents and flavors.
The name of the CD is Manso Balanco.
Manso Balanco means in Portuguese: smooth movement. Smooth balance.
I have a pleasure and honor to compose with great composers from Brazil, from my generation, like:
And also from an older generation like the great Delcio Carvalho,
which is a very known sound master in Brazil.
There are great Israeli musicians guests in the album like:
The singer Din-Din Aviv, the Palastinian-Israeli singer Mira Awad.
She wrote lyrics in Arabic for one of my songs.
We have great players from Israel and Brazil on the CD like:
We have the great brazilian guitar player Marcelo Nami.
I believe it is a real world music. Brazilian world music.
I live many years out of brazil so I think there is an accent on my music,
so it's MPB - Musica Popular Brasileira, but with different colors.
The album is arranged by the trio - Marc Kakon on the guitar and Uri Kleinman on bass.
We play many years together and we enjoy playing together.
Usually the drums are on the back part of the stage.
In this project, the percussion and the drums are in the front stage, giving the right respect to the drums. Respect to the rhythm.
It's a very interesting group. It's a mix of coltures. A percussion player is from Uruguay, Rony Irwyn,
and Juares Dos Santos from Brazil playing percussion and Cavaquinho,
we have Moroccan-Israeli guitar player Marc Kakon,
Israeli players Amos Hoffman and Shacham Ohana, so it's a very special group for me.
It's fun. We have the sound of the CD, the world music of the CD, in the concert.
So I think that's the idea of the concert, that's my story.
In this album I realized my passion and my dream.
