Hey, it’s Kurt Johnsen here for American Power Yoga,
if you’re watching this you’re most likely wondering what we have to offer you here at our studio.
We understand there’s lot of different ways to practice yoga
and I personally believe there are many paths to the same place.
As founder of American Power Yoga, I want to give you a brief idea of what we offer here
and as importantly, why we offer it.
Let’s start with why. Our goal is simple, to help create happy healthy humans.
We believe a well-rounded physical practice
combined with a real world mental practice
is a great foundation to help you achieve that goal.
Mental yoga you may ask, absolutely!
American Power Yoga will create the longest and strongest muscle mass possible.
You’ll lose weight and get in great shape but that is really just a side effect.
The real power found in yoga is the mental conditioning.
It is the ability to take on the challenges you face in your life,
Our first step in creating healthy happy humans is to make the powerful tools found in yoga accessible to everyone!
You’ll find beginners enjoy themselves next to long time yogis.
The instructors at American Power Yoga are extremely well trained and always friendly
striving to ensure that you get the most out of each class.
That means they teach in English telling you what to do and how to do it
This makes it easy for anyone to get into the flow of each class
regardless of how much experience you have had.
The class itself is a fluid one-hour presentation of poses
with wisdom and music blended in.
The room is warm, but not hot, around 85 degrees.
All the poses can be modified or intensified
so you get to set the intensity of each pose in every class.
The truth is we’ve trained hundreds of instructors,
many of whom are the favorite instructors in studios across the country
but we’ve have the opportunity to keep some of our favorite teaching right here,
so all of our instructors have an amazing amount of experience
to match the amazing amount of passion they bring to every class.
Yoga is awesome however there are many other practices that support a healthy and happy life.
In fact the most transformative practice in my life hasn’t been yoga.
It’s an old school system of Tibetan kung fu!
So you’ll find all sorts of classes and training camps
designed to round out and freshen up your journey to towards a happy and healthy life.
Lastly, sometimes injuries and other obstacles can get in the way
and that’s where we are very lucky to have some amazing healers sharing their skills here.
We hope you enjoy all the offerings at American Power Yoga
but if they don’t resonate that’s OK,
