Fast food workers in the U.S. are striking for a second straight day.
Thursday, thousands of workers at hundreds of fast food restaurants in 50 U.S. cities
began the strike. They're demanding a pay increase -- from $7.25 an hour to $15. (Via

As NBC reports, one issue is that, since the Great Recession, more fast-food workers are
not teens, but adults trying to support families.

wage, and warn a raise in wages would mean a raise in prices for consumers. (Via WTLV)
The workers have been battling for their wages for almost a year, trying to unionize.
