Part 2: Science ♥ Religion
Greetings beloved viewers. I'm Mapu and you're again watching Lähde Vlogi.
This time I decided to talk about science and religion.
I was born in a family that was Lutheran (Christian) out of habit.
I became an atheist in my adolescent and early adult years.
Until at some point I became more like an agnostic.
Nowadays, after going through various developments,
I have started to follow my personal spiritual path.
I wouldn't describe myself as a religious person or a person
who fully believes in mainstream science's worldview.
I have friends who are atheists, agnostics, religious as
well as friends who are following various spiritual paths.
I don't think that science and religion are things that are away from each other.
People usually want to see them in a dualistic way as two combatants.
I think that science, religion and spirituality each
help to understand this reality in their own way.
Different people have different needs.
Some require the help of an external teacher more than others.
This teacher can be a book, a priest, a guru,
a shaman or a psychedelic substance for example.
For some others it's enough for them to enter their inner world.
They learn to experience this state of being.
But this is not some kind of a competition. Both styles are ok.
Gotta try to get a feeling of what's that thing for you.
The thing that resonates to you.
Different people have different challenges and needs
in each of their lives which have to be taken account of.
Often, people who have experienced something different get attacked.
Something which can't be explained with mainstream science.
The collective ego and protective wall of science surfaces.
But I do believe that the Universe can already teach one things
through ones self, which science is only going to discover in the future.
Or to be more precise, things that mainstream science will approve of in the future.
The fact that science does not yet have tools
or the political will
to research some things, does not have to be an obstacle for one to not get oneself
into even so-called "paranormal" experiences and to research them through ones self.
Religions are often criticized for being some kind of excuses to control people on the
pretext that people get a spiritual sense of security in this unsecure world.
And that there are higher powers in the world which we can not comprehend yet.
Often these critics also remember to mention all the
wars that have been started by exploiting religions.
The easiest tactic to attack religions has usually been to laugh at various extreme sects.
They are an easy example to grab on.
Atheists and skeptics on the other hand believe that everything is random,
that the Universe does not have a greater intelligent consciousness and
that we humans and our science are the peak of evolution on Earth so far.
Or even in the entire Universe.
Hey dudes, we're *** kings, ain't we?
I don't quite see how this is different from controlling people with religions.
If we start to look, in the same generalized way,
at the history and even the present day of science
we find things such as nuclear bombs, foods that cause cancer,
compulsory treatment of people in the name of psychiatry
due to "wrong" opinions (oops),
antipsychotics that make people apathetic.
The powers that be have lobbied these things through in the name of science.
I think it's fair to say that science and religion are even in these *** statistics.
In the end these things are not about science and religion in themselves,
but about what the people in power have done in their names.
And how both religious and scientific teachings have been
distorted, so that unprogressive action has been made possible.
For example unconditional love has been turned into conditional
love and healing science has been turned into poisonous science.
Lately there have been studies saying that religious
people have a lower IQ than the average of the population.
Concluding that they would be "stupider" than the average in some way.
But we should remember that there is many kinds of intelligence.
One of these is emotional intelligence.
We are all different, each of us is equally important.
Do you define your identity more by what you are not
or by what you are?
What if we would instead focus on all the good things that science
and religions can do and start developing those good aspects.
Most of this time that is used in protecting ones own worldview
and first and foremost, protecting ones ego,
could be used in developing ones own worldview in a positive way.
Unconditional love, solidarity towards other people,
inner peace, free energy technologies and other technologies
that will free us from the necessity of money and wage labour,
so that we can focus on things that are meaningful for ourselves.
And when the medical industry doesn't have to make money by keeping people sick,
they can prioritize in keeping people healthy.
If I believe in something, it's that mainstream science is still going to
prove that developing positive intention is an essential part of our evolution,
that our Universe is not random, but an intelligent and conscious organism,
a Source Field
and we are all a part of it.
Take it easy and see you next time.
Mapu is off now.
