NBA Portland Trail Blazers vs Indiana Pacers ENG
The Blazers hot start to the season has started to cool down a bit, and this Friday February
7th they will be put to the test as they face the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference, the
Indiana Pacers. This game will take place at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Portland has a 35-14 SU record for the season and is currently the #3 seed of the western
conference, but recently they've had a few stumbles. They actually just won their first
game, against the Knicks 94-90, after having lost 3 in a row. Now when it comes to playing
against the Pacers they've been able to win 7 of the last 10 games.
The problem is Portland hasn't really been a safe bet despite winning games, they have
a 26-23 ATS record and 14-11 ATS when on the road. But the trend that stands out the most
and could eventually weigh in when making a pick for this game, is that Portland is
2-8 ATS when playing Indiana. As for the Pacers, they are dominating the
Eastern Conference and pretty much the league as they stand with a 34-10 SU record. They
also have a nice little streak going on having won the last three games against the Nets,
Magic and Hawks. Betting wise they stand out with a 31-17 ATS
record, an impressive 17-8 ATS when playing at home and 13-5 ATS when playing Western
Conference teams. But they aren't perfect and the trend that stood out here is that
9 of their losses came against opponents that are over the .500 mark.
SBRodds page show that sportsbooks are favoring the Pacers by 7pts while the total is around
197.5. Both teams are top contenders of their respective
conferences and this should guarantee us a hell of a game, but when placing our bets
we think that giving 7 points is just too much, so we're going to have to take Portland
+7 as we expect they should be able to keep a close score.
