The next silhouette/shape that you can use to build upon is a rectangle. Now obviously
this is not a dress. Who would want to wear it? Anybody in their right mind could design
a rectangle and sew it together and leave and opening and an opening but then again
who would pay exorbitant costs for it? If it's not lucrative to a designer and it's
not practical for a human being. This is just a silhouette to give you an idea of the lines
that you take and make your own in order to create a garment. Rectangle, you don't have
to, all these silhouettes that I'm showing you, you don't have to use it all straight
forward like have a rectangle all the way through. You could do some shape at the top
or something and just, this is just your starting point. None of this is set in stone. This
is just to help you on your quest to become a designer and it's to show you that there
are, you can take a basic shape and you can come up with any number of versions of it
that you want. You can sit in a room for two hours or ten hours. You can come up with so
many design variations that it'll amaze you what your mind can do, just giving yourself
a starting point of a shape.
