I have been given the best job in the football.
I am going to be travelling all over Europe following the Champions League, and in every single city I go to I'm going to become a fan of the home team.
My name is Tom Deacon. I am the Eurofan, welcome to part two of my journey, last time I was a Malaga fan this time I am turning into a Cluj fan.
That's right, I am heading to Romania, it is going to be their biggest match they have ever been part of, they are playing Manchester United.
Now there are three things I have found out. One is that magic is illegal there.
Number two, apparently this is where Dracula comes from,
and number three, they are twinned with seventeen other european cities, one of which is Rotherham.
So I cannot wait for this little journey, got the scarf. Lets do this.
-Ce mai faci. -Ce mai faci, is what are you doing? How are you? -Okay, Ce mai faci?
There are seventeen other cities in Europe that are twinned with Cluj.
-So in Europe we have Békés in Hungary, Cologne in Germany. -Cologne, okay they smell great.
We have Rotherham, obviously. We have...
[some time later...]
We have Italy, Parma, which is still in Europe. Okay, so I think we have more than seven.
You have more than seventeen, okay you have them all around the world.
What is happening here tonight? There seems to be Man United songs playing in the background, but I didn't see any Man United fans. What is going on?
My colleagues have volunteers at the airport right now, expecting them.
Are they going to give them a piggy backs? Carry the people here?
-No there will be buses for them. -Okay, good.
I need to know a little bit about this, are you a fan of Cluj?
Yes Chefere, the Romanian comes from Căile Ferate Române, which means the Romanian railway.
We found our first Chefere fan here Ecke, we are outside right now, a shopping center. We are going to get a football shirt.
A Chefere one, of course, and a Chefere football and I'm going to carry on hanging around with Ecke obviously.
Right, sorry I was just doing a bit of dancing. There is music blazing, we are in the United square.
I was thinking we could maybe get a few people together to have a kick about.
-What do you think of the fans so far? Nice fans or... -Nice.
-Are you going to watch it here? How many people do you think will be here, a lot? -Yes, I hope a lot.
Don't boot it now.
Oh skills.
I think it was a bad call to go in jeans.
We got told it was mild, stitch up isn't it.
-That wasn't much of a kick about I saw you. -That's a little bit harsh I was doing my best.
I don't want to embarrass you now, Kagawa was that tall, there was a little lad.
-Is this the first time you have been to Cluj? -It is, yeah. Amazing sunshine, beautiful city and had a bit of lunch with Adrian and the boys.
That's him lurking in the background there.
We are playing scrabble at the moment and it's my go so that's why he has got his Ipad.
-Lee Dixon's prediction? -I just fancy them to get a goal, Cluj.
I think it will probably be 2-1, I will go for 2-1 Man United.
-I never give scores. -You never give scores? -No, but I hope very much that we can obtain one point.
We hope very much to keep all three points, for our team, Why not?
-Your favourite player is Sepsi? -No I just find it hard to pronounce anyone else's name.
-what do you know about Dracula? -Dracula? -Yeah.
I am not taking any chances with this, I have come prepared.
-You have this cross, and I have a cross too, I have this one. -Okay?
Is this because of Dracula?
I don't know what your cross stands for, mine doesn't.
Okay nothing to do with Dracula.
-I need to tell you about my team, Southampton, are you familiar with Southampton? -Yes.
They haven't been in the Premiership for a while, so they went and people forgot. They were like Southampton?
-And now they are back up in the Premiership. -They lost their last game.
Thanks for that, why are you here?
-This is Cadú. -Anything you Cadú, I Cadú better.
He is not happy, no? He is not happy.
-I have a gift for you. -Oh hello.
This is a traditional drink, it is 50%.
Wow, 50% alcohol, this has got the colour consistency of something else.
It's not that, okay. Let's try it.
It has made my lips go numb, wow.
It is usual that the fans are not aggressive. Here in Transylvania the people are much more quiet.
*Chants*
*Chants*
What's great about that is the Chefere fans sang next to the Man United fans, the Man United fans got back involved.
It was all in good spirit.
*Chefere, Chefere, Chefere*
As you can see everyone is marching up the hill, getting ready to go to the stadium which is just over to the left there.
Everyone is singing the songs, everyone is buzzed up, everyone is in a good mood.
I have got my scarf, got the shirt, I have got my little camera so I will be able to film inside the stadium, it's looking pretty good.
So this is where it is all happening, there it is.
*Chefere, Chefere*
*Cheering*
*Ole, Ole*
So the Eurofan's journey has almost come to an end, I have been to the match and seen Chefere play.
Unfortunately, sadly they lost 2-1 to Man United, I was with these fellas', get in.
We have got Ecke here and Sevvie right there, come on.
Now it was sad. It was a game of almost, what could have been.
You have helped me out so much today and I wanted to say thank you. Wherever I go, whatever city I go to,
I am looking for the ultimate fan who helps me along on my journey. Ecke I am going to give it to you on this occasion.
Sevvie you have been an amazing help for me, but I only have one shirt to give out, this is my beloved Southampton.
You can share it, wear it on different days, okay. This is for you guys, come on let's have the hug, Sevvie come on get involved.
There you have it, there was my Cluj adventure, it's come to an end.
Next stop on the Eurofan's journey I am heading to Lille,
they are going to be playing Bayern Munich on the 23rd of October and this is your chance to get involved.
If you enjoyed Malaga, and you enjoyed me with the Chefere fans in Cluj then listen,
