OK, so how did that feel?
Felt great, stepping it up a notch.
You guys are looking really good, you’re form is looking really great.
All that stuff we went over, you have done a great job of incorporating it.
What is the difference between running barefoot on the trail and running barefoot on the street?
Really the biggest difference is the technique that is used as far as the amount of agility needed.
If you are running on roads, your path is very smooth there is not a lot of debris.
You can really use the same motion for every step.
When we come out here on the trails, as you can see there is a lot more debris,
there is a lot of stuff that requires jumping around, hopping around and that requires a lot more agility and a lot more balance
Those are all skills that we can actually practice out here. If we had something like these sticks for example,
we can set these sticks down and make a cross out of them and jump from one side to the other, Sort of like this.
This is a great skill to help build agility and the agility that you gain from that will help not only your trail running
but really helps with any sport you may be interested in, it could be hiking, it could be biking, it could be rock climbing,
pretty much any sport that requires any sort of movement would benefit from this.
Definitely out here on the trails, jumping over logs and rocks
Even though the snow is a little unexpected, we are Merrell and we love to get outside
