According to Wikipedia, YouTube started exactly eight years ago.
Hmm, oh wait, but the first video wasn't uploaded until April 23, 2005.
Aww, man! And here I thought someone was geeky enough to spend Valentine's Day making a video
about elephant trunks at the zoo.

Okay so stories don't always have the hilarious or cool twists we wish they had.
Hi there, I'm Roberto. Hope you guys are doing well.
So today is Valentine's Day and I guess, also YouTube's eighth anniversary.
So what better way to show some love than by making a video about my favorite YouTubers.
Back when I made the trailer video for my channel, MrCpu3 asked me:
Give us your top 10 favorite YouTubers. And I told him it was good material for a
video. So without further ado, here are my top 10
favorite YouTubers, and why. We start at number 10 with MKBHD.
I love tech, yet I don't watch that many tech videos in YouTube, the reason being that I
read through so many tech blogs and news sites and I do watch their videos as part of their
articles, that I don't feel like duplicating effort when I come to YouTube.
That said, I do subscribe to two tech-centric YouTube channels and one of them happens to
be Marques Brownlee's MKBHD channel. This dude is great. Not only he knows his
tech, he knows how to explain it. He makes really good quality tech videos and
I think his channel is worth checking out. [imitating Marques' voice] Plus, he's got
this awesome voice and, who can say no to a voice like this?
Number 9 is Scooter Magruder. This guy has a fast-paced vlogging style.
He does some great, clean comedy and I give him props.
This first video I watched from him was Top 100 First World Problems.
He has done many "Top 100" videos. Recently he made one "Top 100 Things Not to
Say to a Cop" and that video is a must-watch. So, mad props for Scooter Magruder.
No jugamos juegos. Throw me the alley. Number 8 is Pogobat.
Dan Brown not only taught me how to solve a Rubik's Cube a couple of years ago,
but he has this vlog full of informative thought-provoking content.
And yes, he's quite heavy on the political side of things and probably that's why he
doesn't rank higher on my list, but he's a really good vlogger and his channel is worth
checking out for some good, thought-provoking content as well as some quirky videos.
Number 7 is the man, the myth, the legend himself: MysteryGuitarMan.
He is one of YouTube's biggest icons and he has earned his spot.
Lately he's been working in film production and that's really cool stuff.
He is like a magician! At number 6 is Vsauce.
There are many channels making great, educational content here on YouTube. There is Brainscoop,
Smarter Every Day, Minute Physics, but if you're looking for educational videos that
aren't the least bit boring, the first channel I'm going to point you to is Vsauce.
There hasn't been a single video from these guys where I haven't learned something.
There also hasn't been a single video from them that had made me skip to the end or close
the browser tab before the video is done. They are that good.
Number 5 is Brittani Louise Taylor. And you might be thinking, "Oh she is too
girly!" She even has a beauty channel that I don't
really watch but as far as her other channels, she has this great personality.
She is so hyper, bubbly, happy, You can't avoid smiling when you watch her channels.
Plus her music parodies are hilarious! Number 4 is Black Nerd Comedy.
I owe Andre Meadows so much! He has introduced me to more amazing YouTubers
than anybody else. And his videos are hilarious.
He is great whether he is doing a rant or a review, or my favorite, when he is talking
to hot girls. And even though I've come to terms that I'm
not nerdy enough to be accepted in the cool nerds club, I still watch him.
I like his videos and quality people deserve my support.
My number 3 is another big icon in the YouTube community and that's iJustine.
She vlogs, she talks about tech, she dances, she reviews products.
I mean, what can't she do? Everything she does, she does so well and yes, that includes
voicing a passion fruit in the Annoying Orange series.
Number 2 is Wheezy Waiter. If you haven't watched a Wheezy Waiter video
before, first you should, and second, expect anything.
Craig Benzine is a real genius and he has over 700 videos of pure awesomeness in his
main WheezyWaiter channel, plus he does a daily vlog in his Wheezynews channel and some
really good advice videos in his AlwaysWheezy unedited iPhone video channel.
And if you're into gaming, he even has a gaming channel so that might be worth checking out
too. And number 1... well, he needs no introduction
but he still has one. He is one of a kind in his comedy whether
he covers tech, current events, social media, or entertainment.
You can't watch one of his videos without laughing, both because of his content and
because of his laugh. His laugh is really contagious.
You don't believe me? [Lamarr laughs.]
Aha, you laughed too! And these are my Top 10 favorite YouTubers.
To those who didn't make the list, sorry guys. You're still awesome in a Top 11 or higher
sort of way. The YouTube community is so fricking awesome,
both those who make videos and those who watch them.
So, what about you? Do you have any favorite YouTuber I didn't
cover? Do we share some in common?
Let me know below. Also, by now you probably have an idea of
the type of people and content I connect with, so if you have any suggestions or if your
channel has content that might interest me, let me know in the comments and I'll take
a look at them. Thanks for watching.
If you like this video, feel free to share it with others.
You may also want to subscribe to my channel so you can catch new videos as they are released.
Happy Valentine's Day and I'll see you guys soon.
