Hey guys, it's Brycen here with Digital Tech Thoughts, where we share our thoughts on tech
and today Mobile World Congress is just about over, so we are going to give you guys a top
five favorite products from MWC. Let's take look.
Hey guys so, a brief introduction before we start our top five. Mobile World Congress
or MWC is held in Barcelona, Spain and is very similar to CES. The things that they
differ with is CES covers consumer electronics. While MWC covers mobile technology. So at
MWC we can really expect a lot of new smartphones, new tablets, and this year especial a lot
of new wearable. As you may know, 2014 the year of wearable, we are getting a lot of
that. So at Mobile World Congress we are going to get a lot of smartphones. Companies that
manufacture smartphones, like Samsung, Sony, LG, Nokia, a lots of other companies that
are not mainly found in the US will showcase their new products and new findings in their
products and really show us what we can really do with the products. There are also press
conferences, just like CES. Now we are going to showcase you guys our Top 5 favorite products,
these are the best and most existed products that we just had to go back and look at again.
So coming in at number 5 is the Panasonic Toughpad which is really a smartphone. So
we call it a smartphone and they call it a tablet. We call it a phone because if has
a 5 inch screen and a S.I.M. card and you can call people with it; phone. The things
about this one is that it is literal everything proof. You can drop it, you can burn it, I
have see people shoot it, you can drop it in water. It's everything-proof. Which is
not the latest. And Windows phone. Coming in number four is the Sony Smartband.
So the Sony Smart Band is a fitness tracker that Sony first introduced at CES. Tho Sony
brought it to MWC. They are claiming that it doesn't just track motion, it tracks emotion.
Which is kind of a cool and a plot twist. It's a fitness tracker and a great way for
Sony to enter the fitness world of technology, but it will also tell you about your habits
on social media, it will show you how much music you listened to, and you can actual
look on the LifeLog app to look at it. The Core availability will be in March or April,
and price is about $70-$100. Coming in at number three is the Samsung Gear
Fit. Samsung Gear Fit is just like the brothers and sisters of the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo.
The thing about this is that, Samsung is mainly focusing this one on, fitness. It has a heart
rate monitor and applications made for fitness, but it also looks like a smartwatch. It has
the features to answer calls, reply to text messages, and you will receive notifications.
It's like a Gear and it has a curved screen that is OLED. For more information you can
check out this article by Nicolas Garcia, who wrote about the Gear Fit.
Coming in at second place is the Sony Xperia Z2. Now we heard about this in rumors and
lots and lots of rumors, but here at MWC. So it has a 20.4MP camera. Which is the best
camera in a water-proof smartphone. Yes, it's water-proof. You can dunk it in water about
up to 5 meters for 30 minutes. It has 4K imaging capturing and it is running Android 4.4 KitKat
out of the box. Availability and price has not yet been announced, but we can expect
this product not to be in America for a couple of months.
Coming in at first place is the Samsung Galaxy S5. Woo! We heard about this in rumors, a
lot of rumors. Coming to MWC. Well, we got a finger print scanner and a hear-rate sensor.
We got a new backing that looks like a band-aid. We got a nice camera. We got a 4K quality
imaging capturing. We got a nice screen, and lots of new products. So, we are really going
to see this products in Mach or April. We have no idea of price. I believe the price
was going to be about $800, I don' know. If you want more information on the Galaxy S5
