Today we are going to make Gram flour coconut burfi.
This burfi is very tasty and is made easily.
You can make gram flour coconut burfi on any festival or whenever you feel like eating something sweet.
Come, let's prepare gram flour coconut burfi.
Gram flour (Besan)- 1 cup (100 gram)
Coconut powder - 1 cup (100 gram)
Sugar - 1 cup (225 gms)
Milk - 1/2 cup
Ghee - 1/2 cup (125 gram)
Cashew nuts - 2 to 3 tbsp
Pistachios - 1 tbsp
green cardamom - 4 to 5
to make gram flour coconut burfi, first we'll roast the besan.
Heat a pan. Add oil to it and let it melt.
Now add gram flour to it.
Keep stirring and roast till we get a fragrance from it and it gets golden brown in colour.
Roast it on medium low flame.
To important thing to remember is to make sure we keep stirring it throughout, so that it does not stick to the bottom of the work.
it is now dark in colour and we get a fragrance from it.
Our gram flour is now roasted.
Add off the flame.
keep stirring the gram flour for some time as the wok is too hot
Put the roasted gram flour in a bowl.
Now add the coconut to the wok and roast it on medium low flame till we get a fragrance from it.
DO not roast it too much
Keep stirring and roast the coconut for 2 minutes.
Now we 'll prepare a syrup for the burfi.
Add sugar and milk to the wok. cook it on low flame.
Till the time the sugar melts, let's cut the dry fruits.
Cut each cashew nut into 8 - 10 pieces.
Cut the pistachios into thin slices.
Let's check the syrup.
The sugar has melted and it has a thick consistency.
We want the syrup to have a freezing consistency.
In order to check it's consistency pour it on a plate this way.
We can see that a string is formed, our syrup now has a thick consistency.
Turn off the flame.
You can see some spots formed in the syrup, but do not wory.
Make sure that the quality of sugar is good.
If the sugar will not be of a good qulity then these white spots will be dirty and we'll have to remove out the dirt.
Now add the roasted coconut and mix properly.
Add gram flour also. If the gram flour is roasted properly then the oil will separated.
Now add the cashews and cashews and cardamam powder to it. mix it well.
Freeze the burfi on a plate.
Apply ghee to the plate and make it greasy.
Pour the mixture in the plate.
With the help of the spoon make the burfi plain and smooth in this way.
Sprinkle the pistachios on top of the burfi.
Press it using a spoon so that they get inside the burfi.
Let it freeze and then cut it into pieces.
Our gram flour coconut burfi is now ready.
Now cut into pieces according to your comfort.

We have added cashews and pistachios in the burfi, but you can add dry fruits of your choice such as almonds, charolini, etc.
Make sure the consistency of the syrup is perfect.
The coconut powder is dry and when added to the syrup, it will absorb the water.
So the syrup should not be very thick.
If you find the mixture to be thick, then add 1-2 tbsp milk to it.
You can store the besan coconut burfi in a container and eat it for a month.
