hello everyone these are the official Lego brick heads renditions of mr. and
mrs. Claus or Klaus if you will these come packaged together in a single box
so it's now two individual products it's just one they are sold for the price of
two regular brick heads and they include their stands as well between the two I
personally found mrs. Claus to be the most interesting build it's just more
different from the standard humanoid build for brick heads then mr. Claus is
and most of that comes down to the base of her dress it's just built up
differently to get a very different shape units almost a perfectly round
base there's a little bit of overlap there on the sides as well with some
anti studs over curved smooth surface but it all works out pretty nicely and
interestingly I was like she has possibly an apron on possibly it's just
part of the decoration for the front of her dress but she has also a platter of
baked goods and treats here that she includes a nice little inclusion nice to
see pre kids holding things in ways that aren't just very very basic you know
leaning off to the side I don't think I've seen the hand oriented that way
very frequently with these official figures it's got a a bow tied up on the
back as well a nice little detail around back it's nicely shaped around the back
and they use some of the modified 1 by 2 plate pieces to kind of create a little
bit of the the in-between space and shape so you don't have as much of a
hard transition from building towards the back versus building towards the
sides overall fairly fairly charming looking a little bit plain from the
sides and I personally am not 100% sold on the flower detailing down here just
how much it sticks out but you know the options were to do that or to make just
a printed piece there it's always better I think in general to build rather than
to just use a printed piece or even worse to just
plastic er the base or displaced and that you build for this one has a very
small round end table over here to hold a single mug for some hot cocoa I'm
assuming or for coffee imagine whatever you want they don't have anything to set
on top of that or inside of it and over on the right hand side is a decoration
with an oversized candy cane style and the wreath on it that's actually placed
on top of a pearl gold colored textured round 2 by 2 brick it wasn't immediately
obvious that it's a pro gold piece when I first dumped it out of the bag
because with that texture on there you don't see a lot of the the metallic
sheen it's just a factor of the little metal flakes inside that type of plastic
but yeah that's pro golden you know shape of that I personally haven't seen
it in before I believe it has been done and that color in that shape before but
yeah just one of those and as usual historically usual you do get some
extras in this set for the very small pieces like the flower pieces including
the green one used up on the top here and also some of these pastry bits as
for Santa like I said this one is more of a standard humanoid build for brick
heads so in that sense a little bit less interesting to put together if you have
done brick heads in the past if you haven't done them before then I think
it's still gonna be just as as interesting as the other but yeah not a
whole lot of particularly interesting techniques are used here but I do think
that the end result is very good very recognizable like the shaping for the
facial hair especially and the cap how its leaned off to the side there he's
carrying a miniaturized bag full of gifts to give away and he's got a little
bit of texture on the side that's just left open with you know for the hair
that's left open with just studs rather than completely sculpting all of that
with 1 by 1 tiles and 1 by 2 by 2/3 you know curved pieces and cheese slopes
and such and around the back it's relatively simple
so again much easier much more simple build that oh I think that I might like
the look of this one a little bit better just because of the amount of
expressiveness is it expressiveness really no just maybe personality is it
personality I don't know there's just something about the face there that I do
like and it almost suggests a mouth even though one hasn't actually been built
and then his base or displaced and is given an outdoors winter setting so
you've got the snow around and a small tree off to the side which is built
around a one by one core with some studs on the side so it's the 1 by 1 bricks
with studs on all four sides that are used for the the primary skeleton of
that and I think it looks very nice and this shaped well for its size get some
small gifts off to this side and both of these have the be seasonal 2x4 tile on
top so it's it's generic to the seasonal I guess sub series if you will here's
how the Santa stand looks from the back so nothing particularly more to see
there but at least it's fairly consistent in its level of detail from
all angles and that's just that for fans of brick
heads of which there are evidently quite many this is a very nice collectible to
get it's nice to get the to any a single box and you know this even the box
itself displays nicely if you're into keeping those things and I think that
each figure is a good representation even if you're not into brick heads I
think that there are folks who plenty of folks actually who will like getting
both of these characters together in this set like this you know it's it's
just a nice thing for the season and it's pretty reasonably priced actually
very reasonably play priced when you consider the price to part ratio mostly
because of all these extra details around the science and all stuff used to
make their their little display stand so there there you go that's it for this
set thanks for watching let me know if you have any thoughts about it feel free
to leave a comment down below and I'll talk to you again as soon as I can bye
for now
