Hi, here we are and we're going to start along our next sequence of learning the brass instruments.
We're going to learn how scales can be played together and how scales are the foundation
for creating songs. The first songs that we're going to play are some jazz standards. And
to help me play these songs, my friend, Kevin, is going to play tuba. The tuba is the largest
member of the brass family. And, as you can see, it looks a lot like the trumpet, but
extremely bigger. So, as we have learned scales are the foundation for learning music together
and for playing together in harmony, so to speak. So we're going to play in a B-flat
major scale and we're going to play the tune, Blue Monk.
