David: [Laughs] All right, moving on. The bin Laden picture debate is continuing. Louis
wanted to see the pictures, he said on the last show.
Louis: I want to see them.
David: I did not... I said I did not think it was a good idea to release them. On our
website, 54% of you indicated you agree with Obama's decision not to show the pictures.
36% disagree. In other words, 36% want to see the pictures.
I think that the Bush administration would have no qualms about publishing the pictures.
Then again, the Bush administration didn't get the job done, did they?
Louis: No.
David: So I think that it doesn't matter what the Bush administration would do, first of
all. There's also been these images released and the videos of Obama watching the home
movies...
Louis: Osama.
David: Osama watching the home movies. We've done this so many times now it's almost becoming
a joke.
Louis: Yeah.
David: Yeah. Obama bin Laden.
[Laugh track]
David: So these videos, to me, they didn't really do much for me. I mean, it was interesting
that bin Laden was watching coverage of bin Laden, it was interesting just for a second,
but I don't know. It was also interesting to see that they seemed to have cables going
everywhere and just like it doesn't seem to be a very advanced setup. I mean, the TV must
be 30 years old that bin Laden's watching, no?
Louis: Yeah. The whole place looks pretty shabby.
David: Yeah. So now there's debate going back and forth about well, was this really a mansion,
or was it not a mansion? Was it something altogether different? I don't really care.
Louis: On the... on the "60 Minutes" interview with the president last night, he called it...
David: I saw that.
Louis: He called it a million-dollar compound.
David: That's right.
Louis: And, you know, looking at it from the inside...
David: It didn't seem like a million bucks.
Louis: No.
David: Property values must be heavily inflated in Abbottabad...
Louis: Right.
David: ... for it to be... for that to be a million-dollar compound.
Louis: Prime real estate.
[Laugh track]
David: Yeah, big-time, for sure.
Louis: I've got to delete those files, is what I have to do.
David: There's a Texas teacher who's been suspended after bin Laden was killed, I think
it was the day after, Louis, Texas high school teacher said to a Muslim girl I bet you're
grieving the death of Osama bin Laden. And there's been more information coming out about
this. I guess the teacher also said I heard about your uncle's death.
Funny stuff going on down in Texas. Later in the show we'll have a story about a teen
cheerleader in Texas who was kicked off the team because she wouldn't cheer for her ***.
It's just, it's bizarre what's taking place down in Texas right now.
But anyway, with this story, bizarre racial profiling. I bet you're grieving about your
uncle, Osama bin Laden, who died. I guess it's an American-born girl of Muslim faith,
and I guess when the student was crying in the classroom, another student said this is
because of what the teacher did earlier, and I guess the teacher was just kind of like
oh, OK, smirked and giggled and walked away.
It's incredible how in Tennessee we have State Senator Stacey Campfield worried about teachers
referring to homosexuality and putting time into passing that bill while there's clear
examples of teachers ridiculing kids, ridiculing Muslim kids, suggesting that they are terrorists
and family of Osama bin Laden. But the concern is don't refer to homosexuality. Don't do
it! That's the big concern in schools.
The teacher's been placed on administrative leave. Hopefully it will be a permanent firing,
I would hope.
Louis: Yeah, I'd like to think so.
