of John, let us read
If the Father will agree
Or if Christ will agree
that he assumes the higher place than the Father
Let us read.
Ye have heard how I said unto you,
I go away,
and come again unto you.
If ye loved me,
ye would rejoice,
because I said, I go unto the Father
for my Father
is greater than I.
Who is the one greater?
It's the father.
Therefore, we can't reverse it, right?
Do you agree with me?
This is not reversible, right?
How about this?
It's not possible either.
God made it this way.
The first in line is God the Father,
in any household,
the second is Christ.
The third is the man.
And finally, the woman.
That's what God wants as the Bible states.
Otherwise, if you don't believe that,
you don't believe the Bible.
Those who say that they are Christians
and sometimes hold the Bible
but they do not follow it,
you had better throw the Bible at me
I'll be the one to use it.
Sadly, you may be using it
but you don't fully accept it.
And this is how it should be.
The Father is the head of Christ.
Christ is the head of the man.
And the man is the head of the woman.
That's what the law of God states.
Therefore, it's prohibited among the Christians or a group who truly follows God
a man who follows his wife.
Who among you follows his wife?
No need to raise your hands so as not to offend your wives.
It's not rightful for a man to be taking orders from his wife.
Especially if you're of Christ
It's possible if you're not truly of Christ.
But
if you truly follow Christ, you won't let yourself be ruled by your wife.
If you're a man, you should subject yourself to Christ.
Then, let your wife follow you
after following Christ
That's what the Bible says.
Now,
let us find out
the duties of the wife to her husband
besides from subjecting herself to her husband
What else does the Bible say she should do?
Let's read from Ephesians 5:33.
"Nevertheless
let every one of you in particular so love his wife
even as himself;
and the wife
see that she reverence her husband."
There it goes.
One of the most important commandments
of God to women
is the reverence to their husbands.
You know why?
You know why?
Maybe you're not interested to know.
Why?
It's like this.
Sometimes, a woman has a tendency to...
For instance, when she becomes too familiar with her husband,
she eventually becomes disrespectful.
Since she already knows her husband too well,
his likes and dislikes,
and everything about him,
she loses respect.
That's why during courtship, she used to call him,
'ling.
It sounds sweet... Ling.
You're not sure whether it meant duling [crosseyed] or darling.
But that's what she used to call him.
Now,
When they started living together,
after about a year,
you know what she calls her?
What?
Hey, come here!
You, are truly a useless husband.
Why are you still loitering, don't you know what time it is?
You keep joining your friends who are useless like you are.
Because of that, the man will feel so humiliated.
That's how his wife treats him.
There's not even the slightest respect
even in speech.
You know what?
Women who are of God
are respectful to their husbands.
Sara was made an example for that.
In 1 Peter 3:6.
Even as Sara
obeyed Abraham,
calling him lord:
You see?
Out of Sara's respect for Abraham,
she even called Abraham lord.
What can I do for my lord?
See?
Are there women who call their husbands lord these days?
Hey, Kulas!
Hurry up.
Sara was not like that.
Let us read from the upper verse.
For after this manner in the old time
the holy women also,
who trusted in God, adorned themselves,
being in subjection unto their own husbands:
Even as Sara obeyed Abraham,
calling him lord:
whose daughters ye are,
as long as ye do well,
and are not afraid with any amazement.
You see?
For us to become daughters of Sara,
I'm addressing Christian women,
for you to become daughters of Sara,
it's required of you...
if you're daughters of Abraham,
you should know how to respect your husbands
as well as how to obey them.
Women should learn to respect.
That's what lacking in many women today
the respect to their husbands.
They nag their husbands in the presence of other people.
Sometimes,
they do that in front of their children.
For instance, the husband scolds their child because of wrongdoing.
Here comes the mother.
Hey, don't you dare touch my child.
I was the one who gave birth to him.
What happens is
the child
becomes audacious
As a result, not only the wife is disrespectul
but also the child has no respect for his father.
That's what it becomes.
That's one of the reasons broken homes occur.
The misunderstandings
are usually caused by ignorance of God's law.
If both of us believe in God.
For instance, we're husband and wife,
We both swore to follow God's law.
You know very well that you will subject
to me and I will let you follow me.
You also know that you ought to respect me
and I ought to love you in return.
Then, we can live smoothly, right?
There will be a symbiotic relationship
between a man and a woman.
For a husband and a wife,
they know how to adjust themselves
accordingly with the Scriptures.
Nowadays, the reason for enmity between a married couple
that results to separation, infidelity,
vengeance, and all, is because they don't know what the law of God states
that they should adhere to
within the bounds of marriage.
Now, we're going to talk about
the stage where the couple
is about to start living together as husband and wife.
What can be done to prevent squabbles,
throwing cauldrons,
plates, frying pans,
ladles,
bottles,
and other different things
I should know because I saw an incident
That happened while I was facilitating a church meeting
in San Roque, by the railyway, in Guagua.
On my way to the venue, as it was nearly time for my speech,
I suddenly saw
a flying frying pan out of the window.
I wondered because the frying pan looked so new.
I asked myself, why would the owner throw this thing? Maybe she suddenly got rich.
Then, it was immediately followed by a flying water thermos.
While I was drawing near, I got to hear they were swearing on each other.
a frying pan, ladle, a cauldron...
Different things were hurled down.
Then the woman was hit by a flying basin right here and was bruised.
Then, I thought, their fight was serious.
There are also men who tend to destroy properties in their home.
They even hit the television set with a hammer.
There are such men.
Nothing is spared.
Therefore, if your husband is like that, don't buy fragile appliances.
Go for tin plates,
sartin,
unbreakable cauldrons.
If there is any television with unbreakable screen, that's what you should buy.
Then, it won't break.
But if what your husband does is destroy things when he's angry...
You know why it happens, brethren?
That's because both do not know how to give way.
Let's read from 1 Corinthians 7:3-5.
Let the husband render unto the wife
due benevolence:
and likewise also
the wife unto the husband.
By reading this law, it's like I'm officiating marriage right now.
Imagine that you are going through a wedding ceremony
Our viewers are witness to the fact that when you were wed,
it was not thoroughly explained to you.
Tell me whether it's not true.
Was this explained to you?
Here, let the Bible explain it to us.
According to the Bible,
Let the husband render
to the wife due benevolence:
and likewise also the wife
unto the husband.
You have a duty
