Hello everyone! Welcome to Netageo. Mehdi speaking.
Recently, we hear a lot about E3, the Xbox one and the PS4...
I saw lots of demos and especially Final Fantasy XV
I'm fond of Japanese RPGs and decided to play Final Fantasy again -
Final Fantasy VII Dirge of Cerberus... Forgive my accent!
I bought it a long time ago and never finished it. But this time, I will.
I can't wait to visit the next Tokyo Game show!
Anyway, I'm going to talk about animation with the Anime Contents Expo 2013,
another huge event about Japanese animation. First, we'll have an overview
of the event. Then, I'll show you Aniplex's booth.
The Anime Contents Expo is a huge event dedicated to animation.
It focuses on goods and is for the sake of fans of animation.
It lasted 2 days and took place in the exhibition center of Makuharimesse
Many people were heading to the entrance before the event actually started.
Visitors could enjoy anime posters on the way leading to the center.
This is the 2nd ACE. Last year, Netageo could cover
the whole event, but this year, it got wider.
The 1st ACE received 41,628 visitors in 2 days.
This year, 70,675 people came to the 2nd edition.
More and more fans are interested in that event!
A waiting area was set near the entrance for the visitors to be
divided and numbered according to the stand they intended to visit.
Most of the visitors were girls.
We could see so many people queuing in the event!
Not only were there booths of animation studios, there were plenty of booths
related to animation, such as 5pb and Sprite, the video game editors.
Music labels were there too, such as Starchild with Evangelion display.
There were stands of Japanese TVs channels, like TV Tokyo,
BS 11 and MBS.
These channels are popular among anime Otakus.
In Japan, a lot of animes are broadcasted between 12 am and 3 am.
See, many mangas are for grown-ups!
I saw lots of products made in partnership with animes
such as a Mahoushojo Madoka Magika PC.
Official Itashas of Girls & Panzer.
They were both sold.
And guess what?
The voice of the GPS is Mipolin’s, the main character of the anime.
Behind those was an itasha of Love Live.
Visitors could eat and enjoy anime-related food.
I found candy heads of Bakemonogatari and Keroro Gunso characters!
I enjoyed cosplay too. Visitors could even rent cosplay costumes!
I saw many cosplayers in the exhibition center.
That’s it for the overview of the event.
Now, I’m going to introduce stands of animation studios.
Let’s start with Aniplex.
Aniplex celebrated its 10th anniversary and held the biggest booth of the hall.
There were so many people here that I had the hardest time to film the place!
Aniplex made worldwide popular animes in 10 years, such as
Full Metal Jacket Alchemist, Naruto and Bleach.
Aniplex’s stand shew 29 animes. I just couldn’t cover the whole thing,
so I selected some of them.
First, here is Ore no Imoto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai -
or Oreimo to make it short.
It was a big hit and the 2nd season is broadcasted on Japanese TV since April.
You can watch it on HULU and Crunchyroll.
This anime is the adaptation of Tsukasa Fushimi’s Light Novel. It is about Kirino,
the super clever, trendy little sister, and her big brother
called Kyosuke, a quite unremarkable guy.
They don’t talk that much to eachother, until the day he discovers Kirino’s secret.
Since the day he discovers her passion, she drive him nuts!
Oreimo takes place in Chiba City,
that's why we can see Chiba's monorail in the anime.
As a consequence, the real Chiba's monorail is now
decorated with illustrations of Oreimo. It's an Ita Monorail!
Kirino and Kuroneko’s voices make the announcements in the monorail.
One can also buy goods made in collaboration with Oreimo.
That campaign ends on September 30th 2013.
So if you ever go to Chiba, enjoy!
The city shown in the anime became a place of pilgrimage for Oreimo’s fans,
which enabled the remarquable economic growth of Chiba.
That’s also what happened to Washi no Miya shrine in Saitama prefecture.
It became popular thanks to Lucky Star.
The influence of animation together with the passion of fans lead to great results.
Gintama is an adaptation of Hideaki Sorachi’s initial anime
anime which was broadcasted on Japanese TV from April 2006 to March 2013.
Aniplex introduced the OAV called Gintama Kanketsu Hen Yorozuya yo ien nare,
i.e. Gintama, the Final Chapter, Let the Yorozuya Never End.
Gintama is a comedy which takes place in a Edo that become strange
because of aliens named Anmato.
Hideako Sorachi himself wrote this OAV, which seems to be the last of the serie.
So it seems that this OAV is going to be the last one of Gintama.
I guess that a lot of fans are disappointed to hear that. So am I,
and I’m definitely going to go to the cinema to see the OAV -
from July 6th in Japan.
Here's Mahoshojo Madoka Magika Shinpen Hangyaku no monigatari's OAV,
expected to be in Japanese cinemas in Autumn 2013.
Now, let’s see Bakemonogatari with this illustration of Nekomonogatari black.
I love that serie, the graphics and tempo of which are particular.
Note that you can watch it on Wakanim with french subtitles
The anime reveals Tsubasa Hanekawa’s secret.
The 2nd season of the serie is going to be broadcasted on Japanese TV from July 6th.
Also, many messages celebrating Aniplex’s 10th anniversary were displayed.
Next to them were characters from various animes for visitors to take them a picture.
That's all for today. July is coming, i.e.
lots of new animes are going to be broadcasted on Japanese TV.
i.e. the animes that I was keen on are going to end soon,
such as Oreimo. Too bad!
But I can whatch the new season of Bakemonogatari then.
Today, I shew you some cosplay. But I'm preparing a video dedicated to
cosplay in ACE 2013.
The next programme will also be about ACE 2013.
I'll introduce more animation studios and the related animes.
I hope you enjoyed yourself. I can't wait to read your comments!
Feel free to share Netageo's videos.
See you soon. Sayonara!
