Q. How did you first become interested in Archery?
A. I first became interested when I joined the Archery club at high school.
Q. What do the Olympic Games mean to you?
A. During the London 2012 Games, the Olympics seemed just like some distant dream.
When I found out that I would actually be competing at the Olympic Games, it was a really strange feeling.
Q. What are your feelings leading up to the Rio 2016 Games?
A. The medals I won at previous tournaments have boosted my confidence no end,
so I’m really determined to do my best at the Rio 2016 Games.
Q. What do you think about when you’re practicing or training?
A. Even when I’m practicing, I always try to perform close to tournament level.
When I’m concentrating I’m in a different zone, and when I’m relaxing I try to take my mind off things as much as possible.
Q. What kind of Games would you like the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games to be?
A. I would like Japan to really come together as one in 2020.
It would be great if everyone joined together to support the athletes,
and I hope the Games will be a fantastic success.
