Transcript: The first one that is so clear to me, that the relationship I have with my
kids mirrors the relationship I have with my Lord. So, as an example, my kids---they’re
pretty dense, right? They’re not that bright as a four year old or six year old or nine
year old, and I’m not that smart compared to how God thinks about things. So, when they
ask me questions they are very simple questions. They don’t understand the larger issues,
and I have to figure out how I can communicate that, but I can’t. I can’t communicate
the complexities of the world to a six year old. I just can’t do it. Likewise, God cannot
communicate the complexity of his universe to me. Yet, my kids love to be around me.
They love to just kind of walk with me and just hang out and I love it. I am absolutely
certain that God loves to just hang with us and just do nothing, just walk and talk to
me. “Hold my hand and walk around and see what I created for you.”
