In your vote 2012, the Obama campaign's Gotta Vote bus tour stopped in Toledo today
To drum up excitement there were some special guests along for the ride, including state rep Michael Ashford and actor Tate Donovan
Well, I mean this is definitely the most important election in our lifetime. This is a real clear choice
and we just gotta do everything we can to show the president that we have his back.
The Obama campaign also is pushing voter registration and early voting on the campus of Youngstown State University
The bust tour promotes early voting, and the importance of registering to vote by Tuesday's October 9th deadline.
Fired up? Ready to go!
Even though you couldn't register to vote at any boards of elections because of the federal holiday,
the Gotta Vote Bust Tour was still signing up students at Wright State University with the help of actress Tracee Ellis Ross.
If I can use, um, my visibility, to help energize and remind people to importance of this moment, then that is what I'm here to do.
Volunteers gave students information on how to register before the October 9th deadline
and where and how to vote early
The bus will stay in Ohio through the next week.
Supporters say their purpose will be to encourage voters to take advantage of early voting , which has already been done in this state.
We need to do everything in our power to out-mobilize, out-organize, and outwork the other side.
And that's why it's so critical that every single one of you gets out to register
The congresswoman and state representative Bog Hagan told a gathering of students that Ohio will once again be a critical battleground state this fall and the campaign needs their support.
