Right now we are in Yazoo County
Mississippi. It was hit very hard
by tornadoes. Right now we had
structure damage at my home, shingles
was blown off the roof, we had a
limb through the wall, and we took
some other structure damage. We
just came to see if we can get
any assistance from FEMA.
We have set up the DRC at the
National Guard Armory right
in Yazoo City. CR is out in
the field, community relations,
they have flyers telling everybody
(how to ca) where we're located,
plus how to call in and few a
questions what they'll ask you;
they are out knocking door-to-door
in the heavily damaged areas.
Yes, we are Yazoo, Mississippi,
we had to uh call in the 1-800
number and the lady on the other
end her name was Annie, and she
walked me through every question,
and asked you know our birthdate,
phone numbers to be contacted.
We were sent to another table
where we were uh asked more
questions about what papers to
bring next time, insurance papers
and that kind uh papers to be sure
that we had. Then we were asked to
go to a uh SBA table and uh we
were asked questions about a
loan and other questions that
maybe the--we had to do an IRS
paper and to bring uh insurance
papers and that kind of thing also.
We never had any other--any other
dealings at all with FEMA so this
is our first trip through, uh,
it was great on this one you
know, weren't any problems we just
went right through paperwork. So
and everybody was real, real,
easy to get along with, so it's
part of it.
