we look like two very smooth boys but actually we are very conservative
especially at BMW we namely love the sedan and touring models
BMW is filling the niche market the last few years including with this 3 GT
the seating position in the GT is not higher than in the normal 3 series
and everything is perfectly adjustable whether you 're big or small
long or short, we can't imagine that you can't find a nice seating position
the sport seats sit perfect and you grab you nice and tight if you want that of course
also the passenger seat is fully adjustable and that you do not often seen in cars
I never thought I would have a spacious sit at the backseat of a BMW 3 series
yet it can in this GT look what a legroom I have
thanks to the glass roof there is les room for the head but it is still enough
the rear space is really a selling point of this 3 GT
the luggage compartment is spacious and practical in shape and everything is very nicely finished
the rear seats can easily fold with a pull on the lever
the dashboard we know from other 3 series and it's focused on the driver
the material used is fine but the finish can be better on some points
ergonomics is very good and everything is easy to operate and the i-Drive system
takes some getting used to but after that you can easily make your way through all the functions, great
it's nice that it can surf the internet with BMW Connected Drive but it's hard to control, I prefer to use my smartphone
the 328i is no longer a 6-cylinder but a 4 - cylinder turbo with a whopping 245hp to the rear wheels
it looks like the power is available in every rpm because it shoots away
yes I totally agree Laurens a turbo lag is never an issue
and than the sound, when we started the car the engine was still cold and sounded almost like a diesel engine so raw
that changed later with acceleration in a nice mechanical sound
and that sounds pretty nice
and at constant speed on the highway the engine is really silent
8-speed automatic in the GT shifts super fast and smooth
why would you even need a manual gearbox?
I wouldn't know either
it still is a BMW with rear-wheel drive and "Freude am fahren"
this car is a bit higher than the limousine and the touring do you notice that in the handling?
yes you certainly notice that it's more comfortable than the sedan or touring
especially at the rear for the rear passengers
indeed nice comfy here
still this is a real driver's car especially when you put it in sports mode everything is set sharp
and the steering is perfect direct BMW has done it again
but if you go to far it turns in safe understeer
we have driven a lot in the city and still used 8,3 litre at 100 km
and that's pretty neat for a car with 245hp under the hood
and Laurens was it "Love At First Drive"?
definitely, this GT really adds something to the 3-series family because he's significantly more spacious in the back
and that is what you miss in a sedan or touring
but since I don't have children yet I'd still opt for the touring
because I simply find that one prettier although this one surely doesn't look bad
and what do you think?
yes I agree and I also think this one is more exclusive than a
touring or sedan because you see those a lot
and this is just a perfect car with a delicious drivetrain and chassis that is just really BMW worthy
yet with that touch of comfort but still can drive fast through a corner
only that price for a full featured version as this one pay almost 70,000 euros
spicy!
