Maybe you're just out of school and don't have a job yet?

What is VET FEE-HELP? VET FEE-HELP is an Australian Government loan
scheme that helps eligible students to defer paying fees for Diploma level VET courses
undertaken at approved VET FEE-HELP providers. FEE-HELP loans are repaid through the Australian
Taxation Office once your income reaches the minimum threshold for compulsory repayment.
When do I repay the loan? You're only required to repay your HELP debt
once your income reaches a certain threshold -- until you reach that threshold there are
no repayment required at all. The current income threshold you must meet before being
required to make repayments is $51,309. The debt is indexed each year to maintain its
real value, but is otherwise interest free.
How much can you borrow? You can currently borrow up to $96,000 over
your lifetime using VET FEE-HELP -- this is known as the FEE-HELP limit. The FEE-HELP
limit is indexed on 1 January each year.
Is there a loan fee? Included in your VET FEE-HELP debt is a 20%
loan fee which is incurred for all fee paying/fee for service students. Subsidised students
accessing VET FEE-HELP do not pay the loan fee.
Are you eligible? You are eligible for VET FEE-HELP if you:

graduate certificate or graduate diploma level course at an approved VET FEE-HELP provider;
