Welcome to the Aureus Yachts stand, I'll be presenting the Aureus XV. Let's have a look around.
Aureus XV is a 15 meters sailing yacht, entirely made of carbon;
The hull, deck, mast and boom are carbon-made.
This boat has an offshore program, it is made to go far, to go fast and to offer sensations for all senses.
One of the main features of this sailing yacht is its complete push-button control system.
There are 2 completely identical helm stations, and all manoeuvres can be performed from each one of them.
There is for instance an electrical control of the engine available on both helm stations.
as well as all instruments : auto-pilot, anemometer (for measuring wind), etc.
which considerably simplifies the navigation is that the control of all manoeuvres is available from these helm stations
For example, there are 4 electrical winches. If I want to operate the code 0 winch on the starboard side, I simply use the corresponding joystick
And now this winch, I control with another joystick, through joysticks or buttons.
And so each of the maneuvers can be performed from either of the helm stations.
Another example -- leaving the port, the electrical bow thruster will start up, managed by the button here,
On this yacht, all 4 winches are electrical, as well as both furlers; the rest of maneuvers are hydraulic.
If you look at the boom, you'll see that we have a particular mainsail management system, also hydraulically operated
As you can see, I ease off the mainsail hydraulically by operating this joystick,
and in reverse, I can take it up using the same joystick.
The control is effectuated by a hydraulic cylinder located in the boom, that pulls a 2-sheave reverse block
which makes it very easy to control the mainsail in all conditions and all points of sail.
All manouvers can also be controlled through a manual backup
For example, from here I can take up the mainsheet manually if ever there were to be a problem
So, as you can see the boat is very easy to use
In her standard version the boat is equipped with the electrical roller furler for the headsails that I control from here
Now, I unroll the self taking genoa
At the same time I can control the winch to tight the sheet (you can hear it)
So we really have the possibility to be autonomous and to react fast, and to have optimal control of the boat
Now let's have a look at the deck
All sheets and halyards pass underneath the gangways, and they are protected by carbon boxes under the deck
which makes the deck totally free from obstructions and the access to the bow very easy
with no obstacles
ROD rigging is standard for this boat
whichever model you choose
The boat we present here, in Cannes, is equipped with the selftaking genoa
We also offer the option of the overlapping genoa 105%
The choice is up to the customer
Here you can see more clearly the electrical roller furler
from the Italian manufacturer Bamar,
This brand is often used on the *** yachts and other big boats
this model is very reliable, and in a certain way, oversized for this boat size
this is in the spirit of the Areus XV -- to make the *** yacht's equipment more compact
and to make them more accessible on a "human-sized" boat
Here you also have another furler, which allows you to launch the forward downwind sails : code 0, asymmetric spinaker and genaker
You unroll them (on the anti twisted cables) in only 8 seconds
or roll them up, again in 8 seconds, which is very useful in navigation
We are looking here at a boat with the deck in Esthec, which is a synthetic resin with a real teak look
Clients may also choose to have the boat with a real teak deck
We have chosen the Esthec for our prototype because it is very easy to maintain
very easy to repair and to clean
Let's head towards the companion way
This boat is fully carbon made with epoxy resin, so the grey color you see here are painted
The hull and the deck are painted, as well as the mast and the boom
Now let's have a look at the interior
Welcome on board
The Aureus XV is available with 2 cabins,
this is a rather radical choice, but is in line with the offshore navigation program of this yacht
ideally this is a boat for a couple who may receive friends from time-to-time
this is the primary reason why we offer only 2 cabins
the second reason is to be able to offer a decent technical cabin which we'll see in a moment
Here is the technical cabin, with all electrical panels, electrical charger,
here you see the dashboards of the water maker and of the sprayer, as well as the electrical control panels
This way, all the ship's key systems are easy to access
We also thought to include all tools required to maintain the boat
Here you can see all the tools which are delivered with the boat and which allows for easy maintenance of the boat
Because once again, the boat is made for offshore sailing
and our clients are people who sail far and use their boat a lot
we wanted to offer ease of maintenance and a real accessibility of technical parts to be in line with the ambition we have for this boat.
The kitchen is fully stainless steel
a classic cooker which combines hobs, oven and a microwave oven
and some more comforts such as a dishwasher, freezer and stainless steel fridge
with some other "smart" accessories, as for example this knife storage or the cutting board.
For the rest of the boat we have also chosen only durable, high quality materials
we mostly use the light oak and real leather, with fine leather gainerie and saddlery work
some stainless steel, as for example this electric control panel,
for which we wanted a vintage look, as well as something really reliable
these are perfectly approved mechanical buttons, which are commonly used on planes.
Such small details also allowed us to add a sensational as well as emotional aspect to technique/
Here you can see the saloon of the yacht, which is laid out in one of two possible arrangements
the Aureus XV is always equipped with 2 cabins, but we offer the choice between 2 layouts
this layout has the U-shaped salon portside and the large multimedia and desk space starboard
it is not just a card table, it is a real work space with Internet access
The Aureus XV Absolute has a high-speed Satellite Internet modem and offers fast Internet access everywhere you sail.
The decent multimedia space, and again the fine leather work.
All parts are manufactured at our factory near Laa Rochelle, where this boat is produced
Now let's see the owner's cabin
the forward cabin is made from oak, there are 2 rows of storages at the top on both sides.
The cocooning atmosphere due to this 3D tissue, very pleasant to touch and also easy to maintain
Another unique feature of this boat -- we use the textile wardrobes, which can be detached here
which allows you to take them home and to pre-pack them
so you can board with all your personal effects already prepared
and have less luggage to store onboard.
Each cabin is equipped with its own bathroom, with separated toilet and shower
The shower part provides a rain-shower and a conventional shower.
As in every luxury yacht, we have shutters and mosquito nets in each cabin
Air conditioning is provided on the "Absolute" version, which is the "fully equipped" and the most representative version of this sailing yacht
Here you see the guest bathroom
again with separated shower and electric toilets
And finally the guest cabin, which also has private access to the bathroom
Here also you see the textile wardrobes and a large bed that can be used in both directions: in length and in width
This room is also air conditioned
The Aureus XV is available in 3 versions between 800 k€ and 1200 k€ ex VAT for the version we present here in Cannes
This version, named "Absolute", is fully carbon and has an impressive number of equipment.
It has the generator ONAN 8kw and the hydrogenerator which produce electricity as soon as you sail,
the hydrogenerator is built into the boat, between the sail-drive and the keel
the boat also has a 110L/H water maker, dishwasher, a large hydraulic and electric pack for easy maneuvers
Another version we propose, called "Essential", is a little less equipped, with for example fewer hydraulics
it is made from the glass sandwich, always with the epoxy resin, but with fiberglass tissues
the carbon boom is replaced by the more classic aluminum version,
and the D4 sails, which is a very technical membrane, by the Hydranet sails, with still very high performance but more accessible
The Essential version costs 880k€ ex VAT and the Absolute version - 1200k€ ex VAT.
