Hi and welcome to another review!
Today we'll be having a look at DC Collectibles new 52 "Justice League" The Flash!
This figure has been released in 2012 and it's 7" scaled, it's about 7 inches tall!
Let's start, as usual, with the packaging!
This very nice window box! White, really really elegant!
On top, the Justice League logo.
The good thing about this kind of packaging is the fact that it is completely reusable! It can be opened without damaging it, so you can store the figure in the box as many times as you want, and it's like you never opened it!
Obviously except for the tape seals!
The DC Collectibles logo here.
Here at the bottom, the name of the character: Flash action figure, the new 52.
For those who don't know, the new 52 are the 52 comic series rebooted by DC Comics.
This part represents a page that is about to be flipped, to recall the new DC Comics logo (and DC Collectibles too).
On this side, a nice picture of the figure. Sculpted by Jack Mathews.
On the other side, a nice artwork of the Flash character. Very nice!
On the back, another little picture of Flash, this brief read-up which I'll focus for you.
Coming soon: Wonder Woman and Cyborg!
Here at the bottom, the entire Justice League! I'm not sure you can see it, but all the pictures have this kinda polished look.
All the pictures, including the one on the side are polished. Very nice, very elegant!
Here we can see the new DC Comics logo.
Let's take a closer look!
With the reboot, DC Comics wanted to give their characters a new look. And I think Flash is the one that came out better!
The biggest change are these lines on his costume. I think they fit perfectly the character and give him a very dynamic look!
Boots are very nice as well, with all these details.
Very nice!
I really like this v-shaped design of the belt!
Same thing with the gloves, nice design!
He has this very nice embossed logo, the white part is painted with this pearl color. Very nice!
The yellow on the boots is very metallic! I really like it!
Let's take a look at the face!
The expression is nice.
Be carefull with these little wings, they feel very fragile! I'm even scared to move his head!
The sculpt is amazing! The only thing I'm not excited about is the painting. See how imperfect it is!
Check out this line of the mask, under the eyes. On the chin also...
...I was expecting a much cleaner painting from a figure that costs 20 bucks if you're lucky and that doesn't come with any accessory!
Articulation is pretty limited.
Head is on a ball joint. I'll move the joints gently because they feel a bit fragile.
Arms can fully rotate and move in and out, but it's very very stiff!
Full rotation at the upper bicep, single jointed elbows. Nothing on the hands.
Nothing on the torso and waist. Legs can move forward and back, not in and out, unfortunately. Signle jointed kees. Nothing on the ankles or feet.
So articulation is pretty limited. One thing I really like is the fact they sculpted one of his hands in this straight opened position so, if you like, you can have your Flash in a nice running pose!
Very nice! Obviously you will need a stand that is not included! Like I said, Flash doesn't come with any accessory. That is pretty disappointing considering the price of this figure...
Btw, it is a very nice display piece and then I really like this new look of Flash!
I strongly recommend this figure! However, if you want to collect the entire Justice League, I suggest you to get the box set, featuring 7 figures! Also by DC Collectibles!
[I'm giving info on where to buy the box set in Italy] For international viewers: the retail price ranges from 70 to 90 dollars. You can find it either in the comic stores or online! So it's about 11-13 dollars for each figure! Way cheaper than the single packed figures that are more than 20 bucks each!
If you're interested in this figure only, like me, I highly recommend it, but I suggest you to not spend more than 25 bucks in hand for it because, to me, that is the maximum reasonable price.
That being said, I'll see you on the next video! BYE!
