Now that you've got your balance line drawn, the in develop the next step in developing
your croquis, it sounds like a lot I know. But once you get the hang of it, it's totally
easy. You'll whip it right out. You'll have a ton of these. You'll never have to think
of it again. Just practice it a little bit. Draw about fifty gajillion of them. Keep them
in this file. Then draw your designs on them. We'll get to the fun stuff later. Promise.
The next thing that you need is to not only know the scale, but also the basic shapes
that are in the figure. The important areas for this part are the torso and the pelvis.
These are the two main factors indicating movement. You can do tons of attitude with
the hips. Need I say more? These can almost be considered geometric, but they round out
once you're drawing in the skin and and the hair and everything around the basic shape.
But it is a pelvic box and the torso box. And they are boxes.
