After a busy career in Motocross, I went to the US in 2003 to help David Vuillemin.
When I came back, I decided to get into Supermoto as I wanted to try for a many years.
Early 2007, I started to put together a team. It was a huge challenge.
It is very complicated when you dive into it: I had to get a budget together
I even had to make a big bank loan to buy the equipment such as the 18 wheeler.
I took a lot of risks.
I saw a lot of interesting things in the racing world
and I figured if I could tie all the little pieces together
I could do something different than anything out there today.
I also wanted to differentiate myself by making a family-type team.
We do not mix family and work: when it's time to work, we work.
When it's time to party, we party.
I think one of our strengths is that we are all very happy to meet every race weekend.
Since we're happy to work, the whole team is charging ahead and nobody pulls back.
We've always been very tight: when we had riders in S1, S2 or S3
I was making sure they shared information so everybody could improve.
This culture really worked for us since 2007
especially starting 2008 when we got the title in the 250 class.
It only got better from there until 2013 when we got our 16th title competing in the US,
Spain, Switzerland and France in several classes.
It is a beautiful track and region.
We know it will be hard with Adrien Chareyre, but it is good for the sport, it is pulling it up.
Today, Sylvain has to play his cards right.
He needs to fight with Adrien, try to stay in the leading pack and stay close.
We'll see in the long run, it's never lost or won in advance.
- When you start, don't look back. Don't worry about what's happening behind you, just ride.
You're fast enough to be in front. He can't pass you if you don't make mistakes.
At some point, Adrien and I got tangled and we both fell.
I got back up in 2nd behind Warren and did a good race.
I caught up on him, passed him with 2 laps to go and won the race.
My best win I think, from all my races.
In race 2, I'll need to keep this pace up, follow good lines, have confidence in myself and that'll do.
You know, he has 4 World titles and got them fair and square.
It's good for me to battle against him but my goal is to get the title and I don't want to let it go.
I will fight until the end no matter who is against me.
It went well. We had a good weather, a nice track. It was fun.
There was some good racing with Sylvain, Adrien and Warren Bougard.
The fight started in timed practice with Sylvain in pole until Adrien stole it on the very last lap. It was fun!
In the first race, Sylvain had the lead. He tried to get away and made a few mistakes in the dirt section.
Adrien came back on him and tried to pass but it didn't work and they both fell.
They got back up pretty quickly.
Sylvain caught him up with a lot of difficulty because Warren was going hard at it
and he was able to pass him with 2 laps to go.
That was good for us because our main opponent is Adrien, even if Warren is having a very good season so far.
In the 2nd race, Sylvain also took the lead for quite a few laps, he even had the best lap time.
But there was a tricky section at the end of the dirt, and he got passed there. Even if he was able to stay close, he wasn't able to pass.
Overall we lose 1 point. First race he lost 6 points. 2nd race he lost 2. 3rd race he lost 1.
We're hopeful we will be able to start catching up in the next races. In any case it's good for the championship
Regarding Germain, he is coming back on June 15th at Albi.
His writ is getting healing well. We preferred to take our time so as not to get injured again.
We can't get the title since we missed a race anyway, so we'd rather come back at 100%.
See you at Albi on June 15th.
