As Dr. Marcantel's receptionist, sometimes I hear the question
"Why does Dr. Marcantel require routine lab testing?"
Dr. Marcantel does require lab testing for patients who are on
medications and hormones.
Typically, for a new patient who is just starting out on hormone balancing therapy
she'll have the patient to two saliva tests in the first year, and just once a year
after that.
She also requires regular testing for other patients who are on other medications, as well.
Dr. Marcantel takes into consideration your current symptoms and the
test results.
This way, she can safely and accurately adjust your medications.
Any type of hormone therapy or medication needs to be monitored.
This is why Dr. Marcantel has the patient do testing even if
they are feeling well on their current treatment.
This is something that Dr. Marcantel does for every patient, including me.
Dr. Marcantel has been treating me for over two years now and I'm feeling great, but sometimes
things change and she does have to adjust my medication.
Recently some of my symptoms came back, so she had me do testing so she could reevaluate
my case and figure out what's right for me.
Dr. Marcantel went over the test results with me and adjusted my medications. Since then
my symptoms have gone away and I'm feeling great.
Dr. Marcantel's use of laboratory testing is just another aspect of her
thorough and caring approach to patient care.
Stay healthy!
