ROCKETT: Not ready f-
[Chime]
ROCKETT: Listen Jessie, thanks and everything, but I think I'll hang out by myself for a while, and kind of, you know, psych up or whatever.
But maybe I'll see you inside.
JESSIE: Sure. I'm sure we'll see each other in homeroom at least.
Just don't be late to class, or you'll have to walk in with everybody staring at you.
I'd HATE that.
ROCKETT: Me too. I'll definitely be in there before that happens.
JESSIE: Okay. Bye, Rockett.
ROCKETT: Bye, Jessie.
[Car door opens, then closes.]
[Footsteps]
GIRL: Hey!
[Annoyed] Oh great, I've got a twin now.
[Camera shutter clicks] [Annoyed] Oh great, I've got a twin now.
[Annoyed] Oh great, I've got a twin now.
That's all I need on the first day of school.
Who are YOU?
ROCKETT: [Cheerfully] No wait, who are you, and where'd you get your outfit?
GIRL: Not funny! I cannot believe this!
Except I just have to tell you one thing:
That blouse you're wearing isn't exactly a great choice.
I mean, for one thing, no one wears shirts like THAT around here.
ROCKETT: Well, you can't always know all the answers on your first day, I guess.
GIRL: Well, THAT'S obvious.
I mean, if you knew, you wouldn't have been caught dead in THAT shirt.
God though, I wish I had something else to wear...
Hopefully, we can keep our distance today, and maybe no one I know will notice we look like the Bobbsey Twins or something.
ROCKETT: Yeah... Well...
NAKILI: [in distance] DANA!
DANA: Oh... Bye...
ROCKETT: [Thinking] Something tells me I've made a bad choice.
Darnit! Why did I wear this creepy blouse anyway?!
This is terrible!
[Students conversing unintelligibly; footsteps; lockers opening and closing]
ROCKETT: Ugh! This new school thing is suddenly really obnoxious!
So hey, one thing I know is, a few yucko moments on the first day do not equal disaster... yet.
I can't believe it. Not even to my first class yet and I've already made a big mess of things.
