What's up? Matt Guf here for The House Snowboard Shop, and this is the Burton Kush Down jacket.
This jacket has a lifetime guarantee against all manufacturer's defects. If something goes
wrong with this jacket all you have to do is send it back to Burton. They have a great
warranty program, so they'll either fix it or send you a brand new one. The Burton Kush
Down jacket is the Sig Fit, meaning it's a medium tight fit. It's not too large and not
too small, but a good fit for the average guy out there. Now, this jacket is part of
the DRYRIDE Durashell 2-Layer technology. Two factors make it part of the Durashell
technology -- first, of course, is the abrasion-resistant fabric that's on the outside, and second,
the membrane underneath that's a combination of the waterproof and breathable material.
The waterproofing in this jacket 15,000 mm of material and 10,000 mm of the breathable
material. So if you're in snowy, wet, cold-*** conditions this is going to be a perfect jacket
for you. There are a lot of great features on the outside as well as the inside, but
one of my favorites is the 600 down fill it has. That's right, this jacket is filled with
down feathers...not synthetic down, but real down feathers, which means it's going to be
very, very warm. I'm pretty sure I'll be riding this jacket this season. I ride in Minnesota
and you guys know it's really cold. I also travel around and ride a lot because I like
snowboarding, so it's going to be cold and this is going to be my choice. There's also
zonal Thermacore inside as well. It's strategically place Thermacore, which again adds a little
more warmth, but leaves a lot of movement which is great. If you could see me right
now, I'm wearing the face mask and some glove gaiters. The face mask, wrist and glove gaiters
are all removable if you wish, they simply unsnap and the tuck into a special spot as
well. So, others features include adjustable cuffs, the adjustable and removable neck gaiter,
pit zips on the outside, media pocket on the inside, a nice pocket for your iPod and a
place for the headphone wires so they're not flopping around on the outside. Now, the pockets
are also great. The Kush Down jacket has fleece-lined pockets and elastic closures that can be adjusted
from inside the pocket, as well as the all-important key ring. If you snowboard much at all I'm
sure you've lost your keys at least, hopefully not, but this will help prevent you from losing
them in the future. So, the inside of the jacket is all silky warmth. There's of course
a removable snow skirt which works along with the Burton pants. It's a nice interface to
connect the two, but if you don't have Burton pants don't worry about it; you can still
snap it closed or remove it if you don't want it there, but the snow skirt/waist gaiters
do a great job at keeping the snow out. If you ride you have to ride the chair for the
most part, and the gaiter is really nice to keep the cold air outside of your jacket.
Again, this is the Burton Kush Down jacket. A lot of cool features, it's warm as heck,
really warm, and the removable face mask and wrist gaiters are a couple of my favorite
features, plus the down fill of course, and the 10,000 mm of breathable material and 15,000
mm of waterproof material. Get one! Peace out!
