I believe I'm in the position that I am in with Cleveland County Schools because of the
educational degrees that I received here at UNC Charlotte.
It is highly respected, they focus on not just one aspect of schooling, but a variety
of aspects and often times people go into a program and they just want to focus on one
area like curriculum or instruction or testing.
But this program, it was a leadership program, and it equipped me to have skills to do a
variety of things within a school setting.
You get the theory, you learn the research, you look at practice, you look at proven practices
and you're able to apply that theory, that practice, that research into real life situations.
There are programs where you might take a class on a Saturday, or you might skip a semester,
but it was structured so they had a planned program.
I would highly recommend UNC Charlotte. The quality of the professors, the support, the
distance, the cost - I can't think of a reason why they would want to go anywhere else, really.
