Now, here's a couple of suggestions of things you might want to try as you're pursuing this
career path. One is keep an employment portfolio. What an employment portfolio is, is basically
a list or lists of everything that we've talked about. In addition, well, let me, let me back
up just a minute. You have those things. Why are they typed up? Why are they in this folder?
So, you can constantly be looking at them, constantly be saying well I want this, well
yea, that's, you know, that's what I'm looking for, I'm looking for this kind of work. You've
done all this research, don't just try to hold it all in your mind. Write it down. Something
else you can add to your employment portfolio is when you go out and start interviewing,
you can keep a, a list. Keep track of well, I went and talked to those people, I've, you
know, I'm going to talk to these people, I need to send these people a thank you note.
It's just a little note book that has everything about your employment journey. This journey
to find a job. Notes to yourself, I met with so and so company and I definitely don't want
to work there. That made me realize I want to work in this kind of environment. Because
as you go through this process, you are going to learn a lot, about who you want to work
for, who you don't want to work for. So, it'll be a process of discovery. So, you'll probably
keep notes about it, just a suggestion.
