I'm in the University of Zimbabwe.
In this university,
last week
a big forest fire was occurred.
This is the site.
I would say it's bush rather than forest.
Burned out looks like this.
The cause of fire is unknown,
sometimes it naturally happens, sometimes discarded cigarettes, and
when security guards saw a snake,
they sometimes burned bush where the snake got into.
What is this place for?
This is... so called "firebreak" probably.
Ah! In order to stop the expansion of forest fire.
But this will be burned, won't it?
It will.
But I guess
When those grass over there burns, the fire will go up about 5, 6 meters high.
This will go up 3 meters high at most.
Risk of expansion is reduced.
I see.
This is before forest fire,
and that is after forest fire over there.
A lot of trashes are here
I guess everybody throw it away.
They throw away cigarettes as well just like trash, and will burn.
We shot pictures and videos of the burned out areas...
Our diver said to me "you guys love nature"
