The campus? I like it. It's easy to get to, we've got facilities that cater to everyone.
Probably 5 minutes to your train services, or bus services.
Parking - there's plenty out the back.
You learn a lot of different aspects of your trade.
We do some assessment work in the classroom, and then we move onto the more practical components
of the course, in the workshop.
At work we use lathes and things like that and some things you might not know, and then
you come to school on your trade school day and they might help you with things that
you don't know and then you can carry on with what you were doing that you didn't know in
the first place.
It's improving my skills, to get a job later on.
After I finished I'll be qualified, so I'll be looking at going out on my own one day
and starting my own business.
We get a few different teachers in the different years that we come here and everyone expresses
different knowledge.
They're really good, down to earth, they're right down to the student's level and really
go out of their way to help you out with what you want to learn.
If you ever need help he's there, and he knows what he's talking about and he's right on
the ball.
All the information the teachers have given us is very helpful.
There's a big variety of machinery here.
We work on the mills, the lathes and all the different machines.
This campus is only a few years old, so all the equipment here is latest technology.
I find the facilities to be A1, state-of-the-art, best in Victoria.
Everybody's from different backgrounds, everybody's nice, any help you need you just ask anybody.
I've made friends, I learn something new everyday, it's fun. That's the main thing, it's fun.
It's a self-paced course through the majority of the course, so what you put in is what
you get out.
It helps me with what I do and I get a certificate at the end and that's the best part, all that
hard work pays off.
