Some people prefer exercise, some prefer dieting, ideally it’s a combination of both when
you want to lose weight. But one of our viewers wants to know how can I exercise for fast
weight loss?
You can, no problem, although the diet is always important, but if you’re looking
to use exercise as your main way of burning calories, you need to make sure you engage
in cardio. Cardio is going to burn the most number of calories. Ideally you warm up and
you get to the point where you’re sweating, you’re working that hard and you work that
hard for an hour so that you’re sweating for about an hour.
That’s going to be where you’re going to burn the most amount of fat. Strength training
is also going to be important, you can’t just do cardio so a couple of times a week
you have to do some strength training to keep your muscles strong and to keep them viable
for all this workout.
But be careful. If you’re not used to that level of exercise you might need to approach
it and work up to it because the last thing you want to do is get injured and if you try
to do than you’re physically capable of, or do it to quickly, injuries can occur.
Another thought for burning lots of calories is interval training. Interval training is
basically where you do a sustained exercise and then you do a burst of activities. So
you’re on the treadmill working fast or you’re walking quickly and then you, for
one minute you’ll jog. Or you’ll pick up the pace or you’ll put the incline up
and you get your heart rate going either further even higher and then you bring it back down.
You continue in the constant and then you interval again.
So, studies have shown that the interval training is really beneficial for calorie burn. So
remember, the diet is still important, you want to make sure you have enough fuel onboard
to do the exercise and then a post-workout snack or meal or something to replenish those
muscles is also important.
So good luck, keep the diet going as well, but exercise is a great way to burn lots of
calories.
