I am Mike Brosnan. I'm the chief of workforce planning
at the Air Force personnel center at Randolph Air Force Base.
If you come in the federal government you really will feel that sense of purpose,
that it's one big team.
It's like a giant family and you get to serve other US citizens,
the nation at large and you get to serve your country. Going into the private
sector I had a hard time understanding
the purpose of the company, what their values meant
and they didn't resonate with any more. The federal government
we know it has meaning, we know it's that common mission, that common purpose
and we know what those core values are that we have within each agency
and we love those core values. Everybody has that same opportunity
and it's it's defined. I think that is very important for the younger
generation that's what they're looking for. They want to know do I have a
defined career path,
Is there the potential for me to be a future leader?
And there is within federal government. I left, I went out to the private
sector.
The grass wasn't necessary greener on the other side and I came back I've been
doing it for 20 years. I'm looking forward to another 20 years.
