Beware the rise of the humanoid robot.
From the weird - to the just plain scary.
It's apparently getting too much for Google's parent company Alphabet.
There are reports that they're trying to sell Boston Dynamics - the company in charge of
these creations.
It's the same group that is partly funded by the US military agency DARPA.
Google is reportedly worried that there isn't a commercially viable product on the short-term
horizon and the company isn't making any money.
Some have also wondered whether the robots are just a bit too scary.
Potential buyers for Boston Dynamics could include Amazon and even Toyota.
Amazon already uses thousands of robots at its warehouses and is also trialing drone
technology for potential deliveries.
Boston Dynamic's robots rose to fame when videos like this running Cheetah hit YouTube.
It's already had more than nine million views.
So it is wait and see who will snap up the company - who knows - you could have a running
cheetah delivering your Amazon parcels.
