Peace be to you. As fighting continues in the Middle East,
a new genetic study shows that many Arabs and Jews are closely related. More than 70%
of Jewish men and half of the Arab men whose DNA was studied inherited their Y chromosomes,
from the same paternal ancestors who lived in the region within the last few thousand
years. The results match historical accounts that
some Moslem Arabs are descended from Christians and Jews who lived in the southern Levant,
a region that includes Israel and the Sinai.
The studies on the DNA profile of the Moslem Arabs and Hebrews has shown they shared the
common ancestry but Muslims should not be misled by the DNA results. The precedent cases
of Esau twin brother of Jacob was rejected and the seven older brothers of David were
rejected by Yahweh God despite of the same paternal relationship.
There are two problems arising from DNA Profile studies as follows:
1. The forefather of Abraham was Eber also known as Heber, who fathered two sons called
Peleg and Yoktan. Abraham came from the lineage of Peleg whereas Yoktan is the forefather
of the Arabs residing in Saudi Arabia and Yemen. The Pure Arabs were already dwelling
in Arabia as Bedouins centuries before Abraham was born.
2. Abraham married three wives namely Sarah the Hebrew, Hagar the Egyptian and Keturah
the Canaanite. In short, Abraham had 8 sons altogether from his 3 wives.
How could DNA Profile pinpoint which wives of Abraham, the Arabised Arabs came from?
There are 3 possibilities where the Arabs in Saudi Arabia could originate from:
1. The Arabised Arabs could come from one of the 6 sons of Keturah the third wife of
Abraham. 2. The pure Arabs could come from the son
of Yoktan who dwelt in Saudi Arabia and Yemen before Abraham was born.
3. The Arabised Arabs could also come from the son of Hagar, called Ishmael the Hebrew
which Muslims often claim on this lineage of Muhammad.
DNA Profile traces to the paternal bloodline of Eber also known as Heber as the common
ancestor of the Jews, Arabised Arabs and Pure Arabs. The further back to the family tree
of Eber, he was more likely the common ancestor of the Arabs and Jews. As compared to Abraham
who came much later than the nation of Yokanites dwelt in Arabia and Yemen, the DNA profiling
may trace back beyond forefather Abraham. There is nothing for the Muslims to shout
about from the DNA studies of the Palestinian Arabs and Jews.
But the Quran is totally silent on the genealogy of Muhammad. There is no genealogy of Muhammad
linking his forefather to Ishmael the Hebrew, in the Quran. The Torah of Moses says Abraham
had two sons called Ishmael and Isaac. But Hagar was divorced after Sarah demanded to
severe the adoption of Ishmael and as a result, they were expelled from the family. After
the death of Sarah, Abraham took another wife called Keturah the Canaanite.
Gen 25 : 1-2. Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah.
And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.
Before Isaac was born, Abraham had proposed Ishmael to Yahweh God to be his successor
of the everlasting covenant. Gen 17 : 18. And Abraham said unto Elohim,
O that Ishmael might live before thee! Gen 17 : 19. And Elohim said, Sarah thy wife
shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish
my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
Gen 17 : 20. And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will
make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will
make him a great nation. ' The Hebrew word Goy, means heathen, Gentile,
nation, or people. Basically great people does not mean great religion as the everlasting
covenant or irrevocable agreement was established by Yahweh God with Isaac, the first born of
Sarah.
Gen 17 : 21. But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee
at this set time in the next year. '
Muslims have to bear in mind that Yahweh God did not always favor the first born son of
His chosen people such as Esau and Jacob twin brothers. But Jesse the Bethlehemite, had
8 sons but the youngest son David was chosen by Yahweh God for Prophet Samuel, to anoint
him as the king of Israel.
The decision of Yahweh God to anoint David as a king was predestined, even as His decision
to establish the everlasting prophethood through Isaac was predestined. Ishmael the Hebrew
would be made into a great people but not a great lineage of prophethood.
Gen 10:25 says, To Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his
days the earth was divided, and his brother's name was Yoktan. '
The scriptural evidence shows that the earliest trace of Hebrews and Arabs paternal originated
from the great and noble man called Eber also known as Heber where the term Hebrews were
called after him.
Geneticist Ariella Oppenheim of Hebrew University in Jerusalem, who collaborated on the earlier
study, focused on Arab and Jewish men. Her team examined the Y chromosomes, of 119 Ashkenazi,
and Sephardic Jews and 143 Israeli and Palestinian Arabs.
Many of the Jewish subjects were descended from ancestors who presumably originated in
the Levant but dispersed throughout the world before returning to Israel in the past few
generations; most of the Arab subjects could trace their ancestry to men who had lived
in the region for centuries or longer.
The Y chromosomes of many of the men had key segments of DNA that were so similar that
they clustered into just three of many groups known as haplogroups. Other short segments
of DNA called microsatellites were similar enough to reveal that the men must have had
common ancestors within the past several thousand years.
The Hebrews have a dominant gene and the language of the Hebrews remain unchanged till today.
However, the Arabs could have gone astray thousand years ago since they did not inherit
the scripture of Abraham on the covenant of circumcision.
In fact, the Quran itself tells us that Allah sent no warner and no scripture into Mecca
which Muhammad recited in Quran Saba 34 : 44 - 45 by the Meccan revelation.
Then Muhammad recited Al Qasas 28 : 46 another Meccan revelation, that no warner had come
before him: Nor was thou at the side of (the Mountain of) Tur when we called (to Moses).
Yet (art thou sent) as Mercy from thy Lord, to give warning to a people to whom no warner
had come before thee: in order that they may receive admonition.
Quran As Sajdah 32 : 2-3 says, The Revelation of the Book in which there is no doubt, from
the Lord of the Worlds, or do they say, "He has forged it"? Nay, it is the Truth from
thy Lord, that thou may admonish a people to whom no warner has come before thee: in
order that they may receive guidance.
Quran Hud 11 : 49 says, Such are some of the stories of the unseen, which We have revealed
unto thee: before this, neither thou nor thy people knew them. '
The aforesaid four passages collectively confirm that the forefathers of Muhammad were not
given the scripture to guide them and to build the Kaaba House for worship.
As the Quran says the forefather of Muhammad was not sent the scripture and no warner came
before him, then it is unlikely that Abraham and Ishmael were the forefathers of Muhammad.
If the Quran is true, then Muhammad could come from one of the sons of Keturah. Alternatively
Muhammad could be an inheritor from the bloodline of Yoktan.
Even if Abraham did not marry the third wife called Keturah, the pure Arabs could come
from the forefather Yoktan younger brother of Peleg. In short, DNA Profile only shows
Hebrews and Arabs shared the common paternal ancestry but it does not prove that Muhammad
came from the bloodline of Ishmael the Hebrew. This is a religious conflict, not a genetic
one. Genetically, Hebrews and Arabs are blood brothers although this close genetic relationship
probably stems from pre-Abrahamic times, rather than later intermarriage between Ishmaelites
in Jordan and Arabs in Saudi Arabia.
The onus of proof shall fall on the Muslims to prove beyond reasonable doubt that Muhammad
came forth from the bloodline of Ishmael and not from any other 6 sons of Keturah and also
not from the descendants of Yoktan the forefather of the pure Arabs.
Why Muslims wish to gamble your soul on the false claim for Muhammad when the Quran itself
is very clear that the forefather of Muhammad was not sent the scripture and no warner came
before Him?
Follow Lord Jesus Christ today whose lineage is directly linked to Isaac, the son of Abraham
by virtue of Luke 3 : 23 - 34 through the bloodline of *** Mary and Matthew 1 : 1-17
through the bloodline of Joseph the adoptive father of Jesus Christ.
Shalom.
