My motivations coming in were very different from who I became coming out.
I'm Christopher Marston and I graduated from Suffolk University in 2004
with a JD from the law school and an MSF from the business school.
When I came to Suffolk, I was an entrepreneur waiting for that idea
that was going to change the world,
and when I came out, it really all clicked, the financing and the law together,
and that's how Exemplar started.
I'm the CEO of Exemplar companies, which is a parent to Exemplar Law
Partners and Revolve Ink.
Exemplar is the first business law firm in the nation to abandon hourly billing
in favor of a fixed value based pricing model.
Another division of our company is called Revolve,
and Revolve is the first of its kind confluence of three different entities:
a business law firm, a business consulting and execution firm, and a business capital
organization-
all designed to accelerate the revolution through the life-cycle of
companies from start up to exit event.
I went to Suffolk because of the dual degree program that combined with my
Juris Doctor
and a Master of Science in Finance.
The JD/MSF, I think, prepared me very well for being an entrepreneur
because the programming was so broad and deep that I could
pretty much plan out my career
and path any way I wanted to.
