My name's Dana Dunn. I've been working in the piercing business going on 6 years now.
I do typically about 3,000 to 4,000 a year. I work at Pins and Needles Tattoo. We have
a website pinsandneedlesportland.com. Piercing is my life and I'm going to talk to you about
body piercing. Dimple piercing is consisting of a piercing on the sides of the cheeks that
actually make the illusion that you do have dimples. The healing on them can be a pain.
It can take a long time to heal. It is a very, very thick piercing so the pain of a dimple piercing
is up there with them. Your eating habits are going to have to change because you do
have that jewelry in your cheek, and it is right next to your teeth. It's a piercing,
that again, you just really need to dedicate yourself to. But once it is done, it is a
one that a lot of people really, really like them. They do last a long time, the dimples,
the scarring of the dimples. And then they can always be redone. Redoing a dimple piercing
is actually really easy. It's one of the easiest ones to redo, if you do want to redo it. Healing
is just like any oral piercing, it's just mouthwash and ice and then washing the outside.
But again, it's one of those ones that you really need to make sure you want because
it does take dedication to really take care of it because you really don't want an infection
on the side of your cheek. Because, again, if it does start swelling up too dramatically
it will have to be removed.
